When is 150mph air from the air ducts not enough?
I don't recall any problem at 150, but I haven't done it over 90 degrees ambient temp.

Re: Strut Tower Braces Question
I've never heard anyone, ever, ask this question before! I can't see any way a strut brace would affect the hood, unless it is so poorly fitted to the car that the underside of the hood comes into contact with the brace itself. So, no, no issues with the brace on my Hawk (Edelbrock 3-pt) and its ho...

Strut Tower Braces Question
I have a question for those who have installed Strut Tower Braces in their Firehawks, particulalry LS1s. Have any of you had hood cracks around the nostrils (hood scoops) AFTER installing your braces? If you have LT1 and also have hood cracking, please say so, but I'm mostly aware of discussions abo...

Re: newbie firehawk owner - and a turn signal question
Check the wiring harness (cables, wrapped wire bundles) near the junctions between panels/sections, see if a metal edge wore through the insulation.
If you washed it, check if water got into the turn signal lens, allowing the circuit to short out eventually.

Re: Random SOM Formula Hawk sighting...
I thought there were 3 SOM Formulas in 2001. The Hardtop Stick went to Oklahoma in 2004, the TTop was in Kentucky, and I didn't know the lady who had the Hardtop Auto had sold. Did one of these go to VA, or did I miss something?Maplehawk wrote:Probably Mark Wheeler in 2001 #335. he is a fellow VA resident.

Re: New member, I bought #128
In 2002 I ordered 2 sets of Firehawk mats with my car! There were no restrictions that you could only get one set. :D In 2002 I also ordered 2 sets of Firehawk mats with my car! The order was immediately cancelled when it was placed, due to the one-set restriction, and my Dealer had me come in to s...

Re: Tire Air Pressure
I cant believe how low some of you are running your tires. I never run less that 35psi, but I keep them at 40psi, and 45psi for the auto cross or else you'll cook the outer edge of the front tires with the understeer these fbods have under heavy cornering. Your statement is obviously correct, becau...

Re: Hood/bumper fitment question, please help...
I put the hood back where it was immediately. I didn't drive it at all like that. I am located in Saint Louis (Wildwood) more specifically. Thank you very much for posting those pictures...I REALLY appreciate it. It seems to me that there is room for my bumper to be adjusted downwards a bit, but th...

Re: Tire Air Pressure
I have no plans to ride anything over 275 on a stock rim at performance speeds with less than 37psi. And no, the center does not wear faster, but it's only been 5 years tho. You may do as you wish. So you set your pressure at 37psi cold? That is going to jump up to over 40psi when they heat up at h...
