Re: Driving in snow
I drove my Hawk back in 05-07 I believe it was, as a daily driver even in the snow. Had to be careful being a manual, but had no problems. My wife at the time drove her 02 Trans am year round, from Fredericksburg to DC, 7 days a week year round with no problems for 2 years. Hers was a auto. I had th...

Re: Weepy Pumpkins
Turns out my rear-diff fluid level was good. I had them add the 1oz GM additive for good measure when they changed it per a later service-tech bulletin on LS1 Tech website. Car is running sweetly. Anyone try the SLP Subframe kit? Opinions on that? I installed the bolt on style myself, right after g...

Re: Weepy Pumpkins
I would make sure you check your rear more often .I went thru a bad time when I had no leaking signs on my driveway for a couple years. The oil was coming out when I drove it. I found the signs underneath on my drive shaft and up under the bottom side.I had a long post about it over on LS1Tech years...

Re: 2002 vs 1999 idle
Your hawk has a nice tone to it. Is that the slp1 or slp2? Sounds too quiet to be the loudmouth slp1. I have the lm1 with headers.

Re: Blackwing fitment on 2002
I just put my Blackwing back on, and I had a hell of a time getting it in those 2 slots. If the bellow was shaved a little, that would allow everything to move into the slots. I'm getting ready to put the hawk up on Sunday, so I'll be shaving the bellow over the winter.

Re: Time to Give It up?
By the time you reach my age you will wish you still had it  . It all depends on wheather you have the funds to let it sit and only drive it on certain days. I can afford to let mine sit on bad days and in the winter. If I sold it, I wouldn't get much for it, so unless I trade it in on a corvet...

Re: "Change Oil Soon" light.
I was corrected on this years ago by someone who said, the oil change light will come up when a set amount of revolutions has been achieved by the engine. When you go WOT it actually deducts more.
