Re: Aftermarket collision avoidance?

Well, Proxel's products (http://www.proxel.com/en/), and other random stuff like this (http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/inbuelsekit.html) all over the place. I haven't found a good comparison for the stick-behind-bumper ones and the regular stuff in current cars.

Re: Aftermarket collision avoidance?

Scott, it seems there are a few products that use an electromagnetic sensor mounted behind the bumper to supposedly detect objects, but I can't find any real-world reviews of them, and therefore can't compare their accuracy to that of the drilled-bumper kind.

Aftermarket collision avoidance?

It seems like I'm now spoiled by the parking and collision sensors in my daily driver, so I looked online to see if there's something I could slap onto my Hawk to keep me more alert of my surroundings. I've already ordered a reverse camera to add to a new nav system, but what is catching my interest...

Re: Going back to long-term storage :-(

Damn, that's depressing! Yeah it looks like I'll be staying in until retirement (only another 5.5 years if things go well), then the big switch to civilian life and all it's perks. I'm glad to see some other Hawk owners are in the military, even if they don't do any real work  (J/k, I've worke...

Of course! Plus the computer reprogramming removed that skip-shift annoyance... did anyone actually like that feature?

Going back to long-term storage :-(

Well I'm still on my long-as-!#$%! deployment, and I now have orders to Korea! I'll be there at least 12 months, from March '14 to March '15 (possibly longer). In case anyone remembers, I put a significant chunk of change into beefing up my Hawk last Nov-Dec, and promptly left with my ship in Januar...

Hi Karen, glad to hear of another Firehawk in the San Diego area! Good luck on your sale... I bet you're sad to let it go.

Re: Betty 2.0

Looks and sounds very nice, but what's up with having a FAST 92 breath through a stock lid!? Yeah that was one of the things they mentioned after I got her back, that if I changed it and the exhaust I'd get better performance from the engine. Honestly I don't remember why it didn't happen initially...

Has anybody been here before and gotten anything? That rear diffuser and some other parts are looking pretty good!

Re: Advice needed for front speakers

93hawk, how did you fit that full-sized AVIC in your dash? I'm using a pop-out screen, but would love to upgrade to a double DIN unit!

A few hasty pics: http://flic.kr/p/dBFf2y http://flic.kr/p/dBzPUk http://flic.kr/p/dBzPJF http://flic.kr/p/dBzPnv Short clip of exhaust tone. Better quality in the future... Betty 2.0

Well to start off I haven't logged in to this site in a few years, so I'm glad to be back here and seeing that interest for our cars is still there! With that being said, I had found myself coveting newer cars with higher performance and more features (like the Corvette Grand Sport), even though I d...

How much of a difference? I actually haven't replaced mine yet, so I'll still listen to everyone's input.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll stick with AC Delco since I haven't done any engine mods (yet).
