Re: Tires for 17x9 wheels?
I'm interested in opinions on tires as well. The 17 inch are kind of a bastard size now and although my car is my baby, given the fact it only gets 3,500 Km or so annually, I really don't want to spend $300. a tire on it. I'll only have to discard whatever tires I get due to age rather than tread we...

LS1 Short Block
So I broke a valve spring and subsequent damage chipped the cylinder wall and cracked a piston. It appears that GM has no inventory of new LS1 short blocks. Does anyone know of a vendor who may carry the original LS-1/LS-6 short block for resale? Since I live in Atlantic Canada, I also need a suppli...

Re: Looking for Firehawk Hood to buy!!!
I believe there's a "Raptor" hood available that looks very similar, easy to find via search, no idea on the quality of the unit. I see it at $760.00 plus 99.95 for the extractors from Suncoast. I'm sure someone here has first hand knowledge of them. Chances are there's info on them over on LS1Tech.

Re: Nostril grills removal
I'd like to get mine off to paint them and clean up behind them, I'm surprised to hear that they're metal since they look like plastic. They look pretty flimsy to me and I'm terrified to damage them. I don't see how you could get fishing line (or anything else) under them to remove them without pote...

Auburn Differential Upgrade
I was under the impression that the Auburn was an upgrade from the Torsen until I posted this here.
I've ordered the TA Performance cover and stud kit.
Thanks for the information!

Re: Auburn Differential Upgrade
My suggestion would be to get this and be done with it. http://www.thunderracing.com/shop-by/category/Rear-End/Rear-End-Covers/TA-Performance-Products-Rear-End-Covers_257.html Much less expensive, less work and easier to swap back if you want to go back to stock. This link points to cover only. Are...

Auburn Differential Upgrade
I'm thinking of upgrading to the Auburn rear differential to my car. I know it's not a great upgrade, but it's better then the original, and I'd like to stay as "stock" as possible. My understanding is that two components are required, the Auburn posi-traction unit itself and the rear differential c...

Re: What did you do to your 'Hawk today?
Replaced the original intake with a new LS6 intake, butt seat dyno shows significant power increase at higher RPM's.
After a few weeks I should know better, also planning to get a dyno run to know the real numbers, in June it made 319 RWHP and 334 Ft LBS of torque.
