Re: Speaker replacement
So I got my new CDT subs from Kee Audio, Ian was a big help. I've been browsing the links above but I can't find mention of how to remove the panels to get at my 6.5 subs? I don't see a way in unless it's a pry job with a flathead. These subs are supposed to just be a plug and play setup so I'm hopi...

97 Firehawk Dash
So long story short I've got a couple cracks in the dash of my '97 Hawk, I'm looking at ordering one of these: http://www.hawksmotorsports.com/dash-97-99-firebird-dash-hull-with-airbag-graphite-used/ I'm assuming the dashes are the same for 'Hawks, firebirds and Trans Ams of that year? Whenever I ca...

Speaker replacement
I've got a blown speaker on the driver side back seat panel( the speaker where the passengers elbow would sit near in the back seat), it doesn't say what size it is in my manual. I'm assuming 6.5"? Is it an easy replacement and has anyone here done it? Any recommendations for brand? Thanks guys.

Re: Floor Mats..
You might look again because the do have them in ebony and gray for 98-02. On a side note, here is what an email I received today said. Thank you for your recent performance parts order. The item(s) listed below are being made to order for you or may be on back-order. WTH? Do the 98-02 ones fit a 9...

Re: Floor Mats..
Thanks for the responses guys.
I checked out the SLP mats previously but they only seem to have the 98-02 model years ones in black. I need the gray ones for a 1997. I'll keep looking around.

Floor Mats..
Been looking online but I can't find anyone that sells Firehawk floor mats anymore, I know SLP used to not that long ago, have I waited too long in buying? It's one of the only things she's missing.....
Anyone with any ideas? Thanks.

Re: LT-1 decided to blow up so...
i think a stock rebuild should only run about 2k'ish. or go all out, go all motor/ bore & stroke the monster LT1 to 383cubic inches, forged bottom end, heads and intake manifold ported/polished, cam, 58mm throttle body, some bigger injectors, long tube headers/ Y-pipe, maybe a cutout and a tune.......

Re: LT-1 decided to blow up so...
Long term, you would be better going with an LS1. The LT1 was only produced for 5 years and is just different enough that most Gen I/SBC stuff won't fit it. And dollar for dollar, any mod you do to an LT1, the same mod will typically yield more power. I have a 97 Trans Am that if and when the LT1 go...

Re: LT-1 decided to blow up so...
Always loved this site but never had a burning question until now, my 97' Firehawk with the factory LT-1 decided its crankshaft was bad now my oil looks like a starry night, instead of a rebuild of a motor that has close to 175,000 miles I wanted to replace it. My question being how much of a hassl...
