Re: low mileage 2002 Formula Firehawk for sale - $19k

Your opinions are strictly that...opinions. You like trolling the for sale forums and providing "insight" into other people's ads. It's purely anecdotal information and unless you're a buyer or seller, I'm sure everyone would appreciate it if you keep your comments to yourself. And your chosen sale...

Re: LS1 Battery Tray/Coolant Overflow Jug Poll

Mine broke this spring on my 17K mile car. If you have the rear clamp not set perfectly and tighten down too much, you will crack the forward lip. Mine was still attached and only cracked half way. I could have super-glued or expoxied it. But, while putting it back into position and measuring for a ...

All those little "pretty" things just make it less desirable imo.

Re: low mileage 2002 Formula Firehawk for sale - $19k

A Z06 doesn't have the same collect-ability as a Hawk. $19k is a steal for this car. Brand new tires, full maint. completed and an incredibly tasteful $2k upgraded sound system. Its tuned properly (326 rwhp/340 rwtq) and needs nothing. There's no great collectibility for either of them right now......

Re: low mileage 2002 Formula Firehawk for sale - $19k

$19K is still plenty of money for a 20K mile Firehawk or WS6. I think the $20K level is reserved for cars with 10K or less miles, anniversary cars, or convertibles. You can pick up 2001-2002 Z06 Vettes with 400 hp for $20K to $23K with 20K-30K miles. If the economy is starting to slow, then our F Bo...

Re: Wanted 99-02 Pontiac Firehawk

You just missed a 21K mile 2002 M6 Firehawk for $13,600 only 3 weeks ago on Ebay. There are deals out there for motivated sellers. $9K to $10K will typically only buy you a pretty well worn car. But in my mind spending another $2K to $4K can get you something pretty nice that won't need near as much...

Re: 2002 Hawk

Zeroing in on the $18K-$20K range I listed as top dollar back in November 2013. And that's still a tough range to hit for an A4 with >20K miles. Maybe this will be the time.

Re: 1999 Firehawk #592

Nice job. Getting a higher priced hawk to sell in <1 month is pretty unusual these days. If you got over $20K for a '99 I'd say you did great. Seen some 2002 1LE Hawks with <10K miles NOT sell for $23K-$24K. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pontiac-Firebird-Firehawk-/201397224649?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2ee...

Re: I just saw 4 new 275-40-17 ZE50 on ebay

Fine for display. But it's risky taking 15-20 yr old tires out on the roads at 50-70 mph. Rubber ages no matter what you do you to protect it. Much of that is from exposure to ozone. Inner belts fail over time. Unless you stored your tires in a climate controlled vacuum there's a much higher probabi...

Re: Power Window Motor Replacement

There are much better window wiring kits available than the Autotrix product. With that Autotrix kit you still have to do splicing and such. I have installed about 5 of the window harnesses from Innovative Wiring that are completely plug and play and much better quality in my opinion. Check out Inn...

Re: 2001 10th Anniversary SLP Firehawk

http://slpregistry.com/car/1185.html The car is also listed in the SLP registry. Considering all the extra finishing touches these cars came with, I don't think there are really any other "options" you could get. It is an automatic. 1 owner and/or 1 family is a big plus too....though it is normally...

Re: 2001 10th Anniversary SLP Firehawk

I wouldn't waste my time or money looking for an appraiser. For one, most won't know a thing about these cars except for what they find on KBB, Edmunds, and NADA. And the number they come up with will be a heavily inflated "max retail" price that a dealer dreams they could get for the car. You can g...

Re: good deal or no?

Compared to a regular Black or Red WS6, figure an extra 5-10% for the Firehawk option ($1K-$2K) and then another 10-15% or so for the SOM premium ($2K?). If the car were totally stock and very nice for 55K miles it could be in the $16K to $18K range. On a 10K to 20K mile car I'd figure the SOM premi...

Re: 2002 SOM FORMULA FIREHAWK #0685 THINKING ABOUT SELLING

I remember seeing that car for sale either on Ebay or autotrader....hard to miss an ultra low mileage SOM formula WS6 out of Puerto Rico. I remember the advertised price too and it was a great deal at the time....if you could navigate the travel back and forth from Puerto Rico. And if you negotiated...

Re: 1999 Firehawk selling prices

Don't get too caught up with NADA or KBB as they can be quite misleading at times. The NADA "classic car" pricing for a '99 Firehawk doesn't ask whether it's a coupe or a vert, or the mileage. That makes sense for a 40 year old Trans Am but not so much for a '99. They list an exc FH for $15,700 "hig...
