Re: Price reduction: 2002 Formula Firehawk #738

Hail Pontiac

Not sure you've seen this guy's collection of Pontiac videos. Amazing! http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=leif4444&view=videos&query=Pontiac Y'all may recall that I was a former poster and owner of 2002 FH #738. Sold it 12/26/09, bought the 2009 Solstice GXP 12/31/09. While I miss the FH, can't say...

I bought the car in early 2002, after, like many others on this board, anxiously waiting the 4 months from ordering to deliv...

Got them here: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findWheelDetail.do?yr=2002&wd=17&c=1&pc=76925&rw=9.5&bp=5-120.6&vid=013166 ...making sure to get the plain flat (not the Corvette pennant-embossed) center caps. Angus......

Yes, they did. No sure if they still do.

I do know that they now offer their new Power Flo exhaust, which is louder than FH stock, but quieter than LM1 and LM2.

BTW, there was a considerable weight difference between the 2002 stock FH LS1 D/D exhaust and the SLP LM2. Very noticeable during the install, with the systems side-by-side.....of course the mechanic noticed it right away.

Yes, the stock Firehawk D/D LS1 exhaust is not the same as the SLP Parts D/D. The stock system is a MUCH quieter product.

Taking delivery of my FH on 3/9/02, I was shocked to hear how quiet the car was---sounded like my mom's old Singer Sewing Machine.

Got to it sooner than I thought....

There is drone with the windows up, but as long as the car is in 6th gear, I didn't find it to be bothersome.

Can't tell you that yet. I always drive with the t-tops off and the windows down. Never even thought of testing for drone when it's all closed up.

Maybe others can respond for now. I won't be driving it until this weekend........
