Re: Headlight Doors
My thanks for the responses to my headlight door issue. Upon closer inspection I found the "problem" to be caused by the fact that the headlight door was making contact with the front edge of the hood which in turn limited the travel of the headlight door. Adjusted the door and now everything works ...

Headlight Doors
Beginning to have an "intermittent" problem with the left side headlight door on my 2002 Firehawk. It fails to open at times. Any advice on where to start in attempting to resolve the problem?

Re: Battery
My thanks to all who responded. Each of you pretty much confirmed my thoughts on the battery and reasons for its failure. The battery that failed was a three year six month old Optima. I did not purchase the battery; it was in the car when I bought it. I've not had good luck with Optima batteries. I...

Re: Power Mirror motor
Actually, at the age of seventy (70), much like your dad, most of my cars did, and do, have manual mirrors. I have done just as you suggest, that is, set the mirrors manually for myself. That's fine since I'm the only one who drives the car. My reason for asking about repair of the mirrors is that I...

Power Mirror motor
How many motors does each power mirror have? Is there one for all movements or one for up and down and another for in and out? The right side mirror does not work at all; there is power to the electrical harness. The left side mirror will move in and out, not up and down. Are the motors accessible; ...

Power Antenna Mast Replacement
The power antenna on my 2002 Firehawk will not fully retract. The motor does run in both directions. I believe all that's required is a new mast. I purchased a replacement mast GM#10256439. The immediate issue with the replacement was that it has a bright finish, not black like the original. Next is...

Re: parts for sale
Looking for at least one (1) more if required by you, rear caliper bracket mounting bolt. This is GM #10229606 and is listed as obsolete. The bolt is a flanged 1/2 x 13 x 1 1/2" grade 10.9 bolt due to its critical strength application.

Re: Black Plastic Lug Nut Caps
Thank you for responding and for the source reference you provided. I did order, and have received, the item listed on the SPL site. This includes twenty (20) lug nuts and twenty (20) black plastic caps at $26.95, including shipping. The caps fit the lugs nuts that were already on my Firehawk, there...

Black Plastic Lug Nut Caps
What is the correct size of the black plastic lug nut caps used on the 2002 Firehawk? There appear to be three (3) sizes available, 22mm, 19mm and 17mm. SLP wasn't sure if their part #82552 is correct as they were not sure if the "factory" lug nuts were used on the 2002 Firehawk. They advised me to ...
