MagnaFlow 15620 exhaust vs OEM SLP Hi Flow exhaust for 97 Firehawk LT1
My apologies if this has already been answered. I have a 97 Firehawk LT1 with the factory SLP high flow two on the left exhaust and was looking at getting the MagnaFlow 15620 catback exhaust so I can have the dual exhaust outlets on both sides. I was wondering if the MagnaFlow 15620 will be more or ...

Help with P0135 & P0420 SES codes on 97 Firehawk LT1 M6
My SES light has been on for a while now, I checked it and it's giving me the following codes: P0135 - O2 Sensor Heater Circuit (Bank 1 Sensor 1) P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) I was hoping to get some assistance on getting these SES codes fixed. It's for my 97 Firehawk ...

Re: How to get air out of cooling system (caused by leak in heater hose)
Sorry for the late reply, was a hectic few months. Update on this issue: The radiator was low so I filled it up. Started up the car and let it run but this time I had the heater on full blast and once it got warm I saw a leak in the heater hose at the front, it was shooting out coolant towards the l...

Re: How to get air out of cooling system
Thanks for the info.
Looks like my thermostat is shot and needs to be replaced. Just picked up a 180 degree one hoping to change it soon.
Removing the ram air intake to access the thermostat should be be pretty straight forward right?

Re: front license plate mount for 97 firehawk
Did you ever come up with a mount for your 97? I had the same problem and ended up going with a Sto N Show mount. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/958/41495916654_a419134ab8_k.jpg IMG_2428 by Jeremy Martens , on Flickr https://farm1.staticflickr.com/975/41495911394_bb7fc2f414_k.jpg IMG_2427 by Jeremy...

Hello my apologies if this has already been posted. I have a 1997 Firebird Firehawk M6 5.7L LT1. I would like to know the process to get air out of my cooling system, I do not need to do a coolant change or flush. My temp gauge has been shooting up into the red randomly when driving and I can hear t...

How to do a coolant change (drain and refill, no flush)
My apologies if this has already been posted. I have a 97 Firehawk LT1 M6 and I was wondering if anyone here had a step by step guide on doing a coolant change to just drain and refill (no flush). I was told by the previous owner of this Firehawk to make sure this gets done every 2 years. Its runnin...

Re: WTB OEM Front Licence Plate Mount for 93-97 firehawk
So Wholesale GM Parts Online just got back to me and confirmed that mount is not for the 93-97 Formula non Trans Am bumper and the correct one, GM Part Number 10138808 is fully discontinued.
The bolt I was looking for for the fuse box also seems to be fully discontinued as well...

WTB Screw / Bolt that fastens Fuse Panel box to dash
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement screw / bolt that fastens the fuse panel / box to the side of the dash? Its the fuse panel on the driver side of the dash. Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately these will not work.
One of the brackets is for the Trans Am bumper of which seem to be abundantly available vs the one I need for the Formula, Firebird bumper.

Thanks for the info. I have the 1997 firehawk so the front end like this below: http://www.firebirdgallery.com/4th%20Gen%20Images/97fk15.1.jpg Does anyone here with a 93-97 firehawk or formula use a bracket that bolted to the frame for the front license plate?
