Re: Removing carpet from 4th gen. Any links to instructions

I stripped a camaro a couple months back. The hardest thing to remove were the hooks on the rear side panels. Use a small flat blade screwdriver into the slot and pry up and pull out on the tab at the same time. Takes a little pressure, but will work. Then the hook just slides out. Rear seat is pret...

Rally Appreciation

Just wanted to say a big thank you to Brian, his family, and all those involved for all the hard work put into the Rally for this year.

Looking forward to next year. Maybe this time we can get your car there.

Re: New Firehawk owner....question about fuel smell in cabin

That is what it looks like. Don't know if they really go bad. Don't know what kind of issue it would cause. I still have not figured out how to actually get that out. Will look into it more this weekend.
Also still working on getting that pic of where to check the hose on top of the tank.

Re: New Firehawk owner....question about fuel smell in cabin

They are pretty short. Up to maybe 8 inches. Problem is there are 2 different sizes. Not much different, but not the same. There will be one on to of the gas tank. Towards the front of the car, but cannot really get to it without dropping the tank. You can feel from under the car if it is there, but...

Re: New Firehawk owner....question about fuel smell in cabin

Chances are that there is a tube that is disconnected, rotted away, or is getting exhaust fumes inside the car. Trust me, taking out the tank is not an easy task. I just swapped mine out last weekend. Have to drop the rear end, exhaust, then the tank. Have to have the car up quite a bit also. Pull t...

Re: Replaced the waterpump, still overheating, need serous h

Bleed the coolant.

Boiling in the coolant reservior is probably the system trying to push air out of the radiator into it(not actually boiling).
Over time, it will probably push all the air out, but may cause damage if the system is not bled out.

Bleed the system and let us know how it turns out.

Glad to hear they are ok. Any updates from them since the storm?
Tell them I said hi, and hope to see them at the rally again sometime.

Re: 12 bolt 4 channel to 3

Thanks 96azhawk. I have just started looking into it, but didn't know what it would take to put the reluctor gear into the rear. Not sure on when I plan to pull the rear yet, depends on when I want to swap the entire drivetrain. Going to need the 12 bolt now. Parts car puts down twice the power of m...

12 bolt 4 channel to 3

hey guys. Don't know if anyone here has any experience with this, but thought I would check here. Been looking on LS1tech. Pickup up a car that I am parting out, and it has a Strange 12 bolt in it with the 4 channel setup. My 95 Hawk is a 3 channel. Is there a way to still use this, without loosing ...

Re: 1995 Firehawk exhaust upgrade

Since you said it has the 315hp decals, that would indicate that it had the 2otl exhaust. Easy to verify by a quick look at the back of the car. If it does still have this, keep it. Just add a set of pacesetter headers and offroad y pipe, unless you have to pass inspection where you are located. Wil...
