Re: What did you do to your 'Hawk today?
Not today or yesterday. It's been about 2 weeks since I noticed some a-hole hit my Firehawk. No damage other than paint scratched down to primer. I have no idea when or where it happened. The car has never been out of my sight while I have it out of the garage. Going to get it repainted in April, wh...

Re: New Owner, Wheel Selection Question...
Just noticed the dart board in the 1st pic. Got a bristle board in my garage, as well.

Re: High flow cats for an '02 TA Hawk
Original t-stat failed to open to start this issue. Upper hose wasn't even warm. Replaced it with an untested one that didn't open 'till the temp was 218*. Didn't like the coolant boiling before it opened. Fan temps were reset to come on at 190* & 195*. I know the fans were working when the issue st...

Re: High flow cats for an '02 TA Hawk
2 of the 3 fan relays were bad. Replaced all 3. Happy to report the first fan comes on at 190*, as it should. The other fan shortly thereafter. Kind of unusual the t-stat failing & losing 2 relays at the same time.

Re: New Owner, Wheel Selection Question...
The Hawk wheels would look killer on your car if you get them chromed. I agree that Vette wheels are everywhere.

Re: High flow cats for an '02 TA Hawk
Ordered the bypass switch. Passed on the 160* t-stat for obvious reasons. I've replaced enough of those in the past 3 months, I don't want to do it again for awhile.

Already trying to buy one. Site won't take me to the checkout. Getting aggravated, so I'm taking a break. Will try again later.

Re: High flow cats for an '02 TA Hawk
Confirmed, fans are not coming on. Runs fine at normal temps. When stopped at a light, the temp slowly rises & drops when moving again. Pulled into a parking lot, popped the hood & no fan activity. Shut it down to let it cool for about 15 minutes. Made it home without pegging the gage. Happy that th...

Well, it's been buttoned back up for a month now. So far, so good. No more coolant issues to report. Finally.

Awhile back, somebody else was looking for one & came up empty. I also looked for him & I had the same results. 2001 supplements must be made of cryptonite.

Re: High flow cats for an '02 TA Hawk
As long as they are cold, cool & warm, I'm ok with that. When I parked it in the garage after the drive, no sound of boiling coolant emanating from the radiator. Hopefully the Hawk is done being the laughing stock of my ws6.

Re: High flow cats for an '02 TA Hawk
Took it out for a nice long drive this afternoon. Flogged it a little to see if that got the temperature to rise. It didn't. Car ran flawless, like it's supposed to. Temperature stayed right below 210*. Will wait & see if this issue is finally done.

That seems awfully hot. Remember, the heads on this aluminum block are aluminum.
