Re: Looking for a 3rd Gen Firehawk

Hello Everyone! I unfortunetly currently do not own one, but I am working on transforming my 3rd gen Formula 350 into the real deal The folks at SLP are the only people that can "transform" a car into a Firehawk. Anything else would just be a poser. I believe SLP has one for sale, did you check the...

It might help to tell us how much you want to spend. A K&N or any other filter for that matter isn't going to give you a noticable performance increase. The main reason I use a Holley Powershot filter is because it's cleanable so I'll never have to buy another air filter. IMHO the Hypertech Power Pr...

I believe the holes you are lokking at are for water drainage. You might want to take another look at the underside of the hood.

A hatchback has nothing to do with t-tops. You can convert any hardtop car to t-tops if you want.

And BTW - not all Firehaks have t-tops. They come in hardtop, t-top and 'verts.

There are 2 Firehawks, a Formula Firehawk and a Trans Am Firehawk. The only difference is the available and standard equipment on the 2 models. You can check out Pontiac's website for the differences. As for what to avoid, I would say stay away from the '93 if possible since it was the first year fo...

A '91 Firehawk?? I've never heard of a 3rd or 4th gen turbo f-body except for the '89 Turbo TA.

An M6 to A4 or A4 to M6 converion is very possible and countless people have done them. There are companies that sell conversion kits but unfortunately I don't know the names, you might want to doa search on "M6 conversion" to see what you find.

The only thing you can get with the VIN is the SLP build # and SLP options that were originally installed on the car but the VIN has nothing to do with GM options. You might want to check Pontiac Historical Services at www.phs-online.com for more info if you buy the car, they sell a package for $35 ...

The only real differences are cosmetic. The ground effects, rear spoiler, leather is standard in the TA, etc.

I like the Fomula better (not just because I have one) but I will probably swap my rear hatch out so I can get the up-level spoiler.

I sent the seller an e-mail asking for the VIN so I could verify that it was a Firehawk and he sent me this response: It's not a real firehawk, I only have Firehawk decals on it. Do you still want the vin anyway? Obviously the guy isn't trying to scam anyone since he never claimed it is a Firehawk i...
