Re: Torsen vs Auburn???
I typed up a big response... and then lost it all... hahahaha Basically LT1 cars came with Auburn units standard and SLP upgraded them to Torsen units. LS1 cars came with Torsen units standard and SLP upgraded them to Auburn units. In my personal opinion, the upgraded rear ends were not huge improve...

The performance button was transmission not traction control related if I remember right. As far as I know, you can press it any time.

Here is some of my personal stash I am now parting with. Feel free to ask any questions. Always open to hear any offers. Thanks. Sorry about the links to the Craigslist postings, but it was the easiest way to show the pics. David SLP TOTL cat-back... almost, missing the ever-elusive over the axle pi...

Re: In need of some help and advise???
ok, the cover is definitely correct, and it is hard to tell from the pics, but it does look like a Torsen posi (worm gear style), which was the upgrade type for the LT1 cars. As far as gears, should just be GM gears and ratio would depend if it came from a manual or auto car. It is possible the car ...

Re: How Much is it Worth?
First I have ever heard of this as well... I would like to see some backup documentation. I have never heard of any f-body getting an LS6 on the assembly line. This kind of info would have been quite the buzz as the last SS and Firehawks were being followed very closely.

Re: Rear end swap?
in order to make your 3 channel still work, you would need to install the abs reluctor ring on the diff carrier in the pumpkin. if you can do that yourself, it MIGHT be worth it. Otherwise, a rear end rebuild would be a good option especially since NO used rear end is guaranteed to be free of issues...

Re: The Hawk failed emissions...
Other than O2's and injectors, I would check the regulator. Are you running a stock one? pull the little vacuum hose off the top of it and make sure there is no fuel in that line or more so coming out of the regulator there. O2's should be able to be read by a scanner and ranges and switching should...

Re: The Hawk failed emissions...
Is it indeed the PCM commanding the extra fuel or could it be a bad regulator dumping it into the intake?
