Turned out to be another starter relay. Number 4 in 5 years. What a nasty start it gave. Loudest one yet. Of course it was raining, so I didn't take it for a drive. Got a fresh battery out of the deal. Any other Hawks eating starter relays like mine? 7,1xx miles on it.

When the Hawk failed to start last Sunday, I initially thought it was due to be yet another starter relay. No hum from the fuel pump. With the car's history, I keep 3 starter relays on board as backups. When 2 of these failed, I looked at the fuel pump. Dead. Not wanting to cut an access door, I opted to drop the gas tank. Figures it was nearly full. Got a new pump in on Thursday & finished the swap on Friday. Sure made me wish I had a lift in my garage. It would have made life much easier.

As this car creates a history of problems, my ws6 remains problem free.

Since a K is starting to lift, I am replacing the stock yellow Firehawk decals with dark charcoal metallic & a black tilde. Psyched about the change.

Got the doors done & of f'n course, it's raining. Beauty shots will have to wait until next weekend. Here's a teaser...https://imgur.com/a/voBxxE0 Man, I can't wait to get this car outside to see how different it looks.

https://imgur.com/a/TspMx6a Had to pull it out of the garage to replace the horn. The relay went bad.... imagine that. That makes 5 in 5 years. Anyway, I decided to take a picture of the new look. I definitely like it better than factory yellow.

The Sunset Hawk I'm buying has camel interior, which I do not care for. Finally found a complete set of ebony leather seats in mint condition. https://imgur.com/l2yvgOy https://imgur.com/VTNK99r https://imgur.com/6KmE4jI https://imgur.com/Sm7BadZ https://imgur.com/YgBVUWy https://imgur.com/zk8F4pm https://imgur.com/a5A0zK3 https://imgur.com/FEn7heq Taking graphite interior door panels to a local upholstery shop tomorrow to get them dyed black. Taking them in my ws6 to match the black.

Got the Hawk out of storage Sunday & had to take a few pictures of the new decals. Much better looking than the factory yellow. https://imgur.com/EYDS0Wv

Took red to a car show at the local Chemical Guys store Saturday morning. It was lame with only 10 cars there. At least, I was on the end & able to take a picture. https://imgur.com/lzChynk Lookin' right in the morning sun.

After UPS lost my payment, which was sent Next Day Air, & didn't arrive until 24 hours later, the car is finally paid for. I'm getting a full refund on shipping charges. The transport company has been paid & I have asked for the car to be brought, in an enclosed trailer, the week of April 8th. I have that week off & want to document taking delivery of my long elusive unicorn. I have everything needed to change the camel interior to ebony.
