Bob Lutz blames Toyota-backed supplier for General Motors' recall

So is this just taking the easy way out and blaming somebody else so you don't have to take responsibility.

Shouldn't GM be doing reliability and durability testing of their own and not relying on the guy selling you the parts to do it?

Either that or you have a contract that makes it very painful for them if they come up with sub par items and bogus testing results.

I am sure GM would have been all over SLP if some parts of the OEM Firehawks were killing people. Granted the number to recall would have a lot less zeroes on the end of it, but still.
