Re: Firehawk door jam decals...
It's not their stylized logo, though...just 3 letters inside a rectangle with rounded corners.
For instance, I can make a bumper sticker that says "I love Dale Earnhardt", and it's fine...but I can't use his trademarked signature. Shoot...DEI even has a trademark on their stylized #3...but they don't leave the number three out of grade school textbooks. That trademark only applies to the logo itself, and when they use it, as trademarked, it should have the little circled "R" with it. On these decals, it isn't so...'course it isn't on the door scripts either?

Blank NOS SLP decals on one side, repops for my car on the other.
Up close with the cheesy cell phone picture:
These, being waterproof vinyl, should last longer than the car.

Re: Firehawk door jam decals...
Side by side comparisons:
I gotta say that these are made to be like my original decals prior to when I had mine painted. The pictures show my repops on the right, and SLPs replacements on the left. The ones I made are closer to the originals than SLPs reprints are, since I saved the originals and scanned them for just such an occasion. The font isn't 100% dead on, but it's kinda a "dot matrix" font like the originals...just a few letters are shaped slightly different. I'm happy with them!

Thanks for the email sending me here. First, I'm not trying to "Rape" anyone. I'm the one who saved these, lugged them all over the country during my moves and made repro's available in the past. I don't have many left, I sold the bulk of my collection to a collector who will never make any of those rare parts available to you. I did manage to save some items such as these, about a dozen of which I'm making available to those who have been emailing asking for originals. If the price is too much for you, fine - but no need for the talk above.

Re: Firehawk door jam decals...
There ya go. If you want unused NOS ones just like SLP put on the cars, you see where to get them. If you have a balls to the wall show car, I'd say go for it! I agree that the price is too high for some, but I also believe that it is the seller's right to set that price wherever he/she so desires. Dave owns them...if he wants to give 'em away, so be it...if he wants their weight in gold, so be it. One of my all time favorite sayings is: The price of cool ain't cheap.
As shown above, I made my own out of different material, with a font that was as close as I could find in my library of 5800+ (yes, I looked at them ALL ). They aren't exact, but they are close enough to suit me and my car. They aren't "right" for a white glove purist collector...but I guarantee you you'll still be able to read them in 25 years. Let me get another set made up to be sure I have all of my measurements and font spacing correct, and I'll start a for sale ad with more details about the reproductions, for those that don't want to spend so much.

Re: Firehawk door jam decals...
Today I received my reproduction door decals for my Firehawk from LT4 hawk 9, and I am very happy with them. My original ones were not too faded, however I wanted a spare set just in case. Mike was very quick about getting them made and extremely professional.
As you can see there are minor differences from the original ones on the door but I doubt most people would notice. If I had to replace the original decals for some reason I would disclose that the replacements are reproduction. That being said from what I have read is it even possible to get "original" decals anymore?
If you look closely, SLP was careless and some of the printing on the decals ran off the edge and some of the lines did not line up correctly. Mike called me and asked if I wanted to have my new ones look EXACTLY like the ones on my car or he could make the corrections to make them the way they are SUPPOSED to look.
I think this is an excellent resource for replacement decals and I am very glad that he has gone to the effort of doing this for a reasonable price.
