Re: Showing Off PURDYBRD
I love the stainless steel under hood panels, but I have a different hood layout? I have the fiberglass hood, and those panels would not fit.
I saw some at emblem pro but they looked to be for a standard hood?
I'm confused.

If you have a 2002 Firehawk, you should have the same exact hood as the PurdyBrd.mdhucker@charter.net wrote:I love the stainless steel under hood panels, but I have a different hood layout? I have the fiberglass hood, and those panels would not fit.

Re: Showing Off PURDYBRD
Mine is a 2002 with the fiberglass hood. Your underside sections are different spacing than mine.
The set I saw said it was for the WS6 hood, specifically NOT the SLP hood.
I'm just confused.

Re: Showing Off PURDYBRD
Is yours the original Firehawk hood?
You are correct, the WS6 hood is different on the backside than a Firehawk hood. What I have are mirrored plexiglass that were made to fit the 98-02 Firehawk hoods. (Mine are held on by clear silicone). The guy that made them was in St. Louis and he bought a Firehawk hood so as to have a template to make them. As it ended up he only sold 2 sets of these and I was the second person to purchase them for him. The first guy had problems with his fitting and I had some trouble myself. So, he ended up not selling them anymore. Not sure why there was a difference in his slp hood and ours. Anyway, don't know that you will find anyone else selling them for the Firehawks. I don't think they would be to hard to make. I looked into this and the only way to buy the mirrored plexiglass was in a 4x8 sheet. Then you would just need to make templates of the pockets under your hood and then trace outline on backside of the plexiglass and saw out. Then just sand the edges to fit.
Hope that helps.

Re: Showing Off PURDYBRD
Thanks for the pics of the GTX. Fine looking automobile, that is. Like the old mopar iron, 63-72 mostly. Of course, 98-02 Trans Am Firehawks do something for me as well.
Re: Showing Off PURDYBRD
Looks identical to me. What part do you think looks different?
