Left overs? Yes please.
Stumbled across these surfing the web one evening. They are brand new and never ran before. I bought all 4. The seller tells me "they are left overs from a deal they had going with GM/SLP back in 95". These are going to look great on the Hawk. And yes they are chrome, not polished. And no they are not the newer style Speedlines.
I already had the new center caps.

Thanks guys. I still can't believe I fell into these although my wallet is quite a bit lighter. Feels like perhaps I own a little piece of Hawk history. Did you watch the "95 Road Test" YouTube video I posted? Did you notice that the Purple Firehawk in that piece had chrome wheels?zmaro wrote:Nice find, congrats!

Just a heads up, no Firehawk in 1995 was delivered from SLP with chrome rims. It was an option in 1995, but SLP had production issue with the rims and never delivered any.lakeratiam wrote:Thanks guys. Wow, I have never seen a 1995 with chrome rims that were not done after deliver. That is very interesting. I wonder if only the test car got chrome rims.lakeratiam wrote: Did you watch the "95 Road Test" YouTube video I posted? Did you notice that the Purple Firehawk in that piece had chrome wheels?

Yup, thus my excitement over finding these. I thought they weren't delivered due to concerns over durability. I had heard that GM wasn't big on chrome over aluminum.Firehawk wrote:Just a heads up, no Firehawk in 1995 was delivered from SLP with chrome rims. According to the seller, they had "a few sets" they were to do for GM. He told me he thought 1 set got shipped to GM, and one set got shipped to SLP and the set I bought was a "left over set" as he put it. If Dave is out there, maybe he can shed further light on this.

Not who I bought mine from, and I actually paid less than that. I do think he might have bought them from the same seller I bought mine from though, as he had told me he had a "at least" one more set that had not been chromed or painted yet.........go figure.zmaro wrote:Just incase anyone else here is interested in a set: http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/pts/3588096867.html (They are not mine, just figured I'd share)
