Opened my console too far and cracked it
The console in my truck opens higher and I got used to that so I cracked the part around the hinge on my Hawk. It looks like a cover on the inside of the lid. Anyone know what it's called and/or where I can find one?

Re: Opened my console too far and cracked it
You start by talking about your truck, ..., so I assumed that you were looking for one for the truck.
But after reading it again, & hesitating a bit, ..., you must mean that the one in the truck lifts higher, & now you've lifted the one in the car higher & broke it.
So how about this?

Or is it the part in the console that is broken, & not actually the lid?

There are quite a few covers listed, but only one console itself & it's for an A4 application.

Re: Opened my console too far and cracked it
I re-read my post and it did sound a little confusing so I added "my Hawk" to clarify it a little.
I don't need the whole console lid but I'll buy one if I have to. If you look at the sencond picture on the last one you posted, you'll see the inside cover I'm taking about. I just don't know what it is called and don't know if I can buy one without buying the entire lid.

I would call it the console lid cover reinforcement. I'm guessing you will probably have to buy the cover to get the reinforcement. Good luck!

Re: Opened my console too far and cracked it
I just bought a used replacement for my Bonneville & just got the whole cover.
Cleaned it up, installed it in a matter of minutes, & now I don't have cracks scratching my elbow anymore, ...
So I assume you are looking for a gray one for the 93-94 cars, but in pleather or cloth?
Or was the console in all of those cars a pleather like material?
So maybe the cloth wasn't carried on to the console probably.

Re: Opened my console too far and cracked it
I ned a black one for a '94 and AFAIK they are all pleather, no cloth.
Looks like I can get a new one for $115.

Re: Opened my console too far and cracked it
I have some contacts behind the GM parts desk, let me check on the price before you commit.
Is it an M6 car or an A4? (I don't it matters as they should all be the same console cover.)
(Edited out info I posted on the colors/years. Noticed that the car years are all separate pdf pages.)

Re: Opened my console too far and cracked it
I appreciate the help. It's an M6 car but like you said I don't think it matters.
