New Owner, But not so new!
Hey guys, I'm Shawn, I just bought the 95 #173, She's a project, but that's ok, I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get me in the drivers seat of one of the hottest looking cars in my generation. it started of course in High school, friend of mine got a 93 Hawk, his dad bought it for him, and it was just the most awesome car I had ever seen, feel in love with it the first time I seen it, I had a 87 GTA at the time and we were always picking at each other when our paths crossed, either in town or those long country roads by the house, anyway fast forward a long way, I run across a black 96, what I thought was a firehawk several years ago, and bought it without any research or knowing anything really about them, it had a ram air hood and said firehawk, that makes it a firehawk, Right? well that was about the time slp was cleaning out there warehouse on eBay, so I bought me some floor mats and some fog lights, and finished the cloning process out, after some research a lot of it on this site, I figured it wasn't a a legit Hawk, but I still loved the car! Well life happened and I had to get rid of her, now that I'm settled down a little it was time to build another clone, I have at present time a great looking 94 formula sitting in the yard, I didn't figure I could afford a actual Hawk, so it was just for me and I would never have tried to pass it off as a actual Hawk, if I sold it or something, any way fast forward to now, I've struck a deal with the owner of #173, and trying to line up shipping for it, or I may make the journey after the first of the year, I'm glad to be here after so many years, I've been a active reader of the forum for years, mostly reading tech and the for sale threads, just never signed in, Y'all usually cover most everything, so once again, Thanks for the site, and thanks to Mac and Brian for helping to get me back on!

Shawn, congrats on your new ride! I recently bought another hawk and since I don't trust shipping companies I flew down to Florida and picked her up and drove it back to Wyoming long drive but it was fun! You will enjoy her!

Thanks, sorry to say but this ones not running at the present time, and even as beat up and banged up as she is, I'm still having a hard time convincing myself to let someone else pick it up, but it's 1200 miles, so I may have to.

Yea she does, but I've accounted for all the SLP options on the car, the rest is easy to find, and I come from a pretty good background in auto repair and restoring, plus I've got some really talented friends. I'm hoping to have her in pristine shape with in a year. with a few mild upgrades, it's gonna be a driver, she has too many miles for collector status, which suits me just fine. Like I said just glad to be here, I've always viewed this group as elite owners and now I get to join, now I gotta get the car back to the elite status she deserves.

Re: New Owner, But not so new!
Well she's finally home, been in New Mexico all her life and now she's a Bama girl, all in she's not in that bad of shape, needs a little work on the hood, a rear bumper cover, the insides gonna need a overhaul, seats are actually in pretty good shape, anyway I thought I would keep posting pics as I go.
