10th question

Post by FH212 » Mon Mar 10, 2014 1:23 pm

Hello, been awhile since I have been on here since I sold my 2000 Firehawk, but I just picked up 10th #30 and it landed at my home yesterday. So my quest to make it perfect start now.....My question is I I thought the tail pipes on these cars were painted gold. Is that correct? The ones on it now just look cast aluminum and soot black?

VHT Flameproof Flat Gold SP-105.
Not made anymore, so if you can find it, buy a couple for future use.
I've used it, ..., it is a good match.

Their SP-736 caliper paint might be the closest thing to it these days.

I also have a 10th, convertible. I have redone my tips and simply using a gold paint seems to work nicely. My car only has 5000 miles and I have noticed the tips need touched up regularly to keep them looking good. So, I would not worry too much which gold paint that you use. Just my opinion. Good luck.....
