A friend of mine just bought an ls1 from a wrecked 2001 ws6, to put in a Jeep. Unsure of what exhaust to mate to it, he asked for a ride in my Hawk. I flogged it pretty hard to give him an idea what a Loudmouth 2 sounds like. He said it was too loud under acceleration for him. He even asked if I've ever been pulled over for loud exhaust. No, I don't drive like that when I see a cop.

Interesting documentation on the 1st post. I will forward both to him to get his take. His Jeep is lifted with some rather large mudders. He's got shorty headers mocked up. I think I'll probably pass on a ride when he gets it all done.

Sent him the articles BLACK-HAWK posted. He's already seen them. Says he has everything he needs to complete the swap. Everything but the exhaust. Thanks for the posts BLACK-HAWK.

It's going to be a custom job. No way around it unless someone with the same or similar set up has their exhaust for sale on a jeep forum somewhere
someday, i'll have another firehawk...

He's a former auto mechanic who is more than qualified to do the job himself. He says he now has everything he needs to do the swap. I told him he bought the farm, because now it's hot. He's gonna put a wall unit air conditioner in the window of his garage & do it all in there. I guess the exhaust will not be an issue, as he knows a guy who owns a local muffler shop. According to him, they are friends.

Should be a fun build when complete. As a LandCruiser/fjcruiser/4Runners can I Usually would make a (funny to me) sarcastic joke about reliability and power of an LS1 in a jeep but it's 0530 and I'm I'm too tired.

Don't know what the issue is, but he still hasn't started the swap. Still no AC unit in his garage. Maybe he's waiting for summer heat to really break. I don't know. I am considering asking him to sell me the LS1 so I can put that in my Iroc Z. A more powerful 350 wouldn't hurt my feelings.

Took the Hawk to the bank for some business. While inside, I couldn't stop looking at this...https://imgur.com/yYY1BR0 Blew every other car in the parking lot away in style & appearance.
