A friend of mine just bought an ls1 from a wrecked 2001 ws6, to put in a Jeep. Unsure of what exhaust to mate to it, he asked for a ride in my Hawk. I flogged it pretty hard to give him an idea what a Loudmouth 2 sounds like. He said it was too loud under acceleration for him. He even asked if I've ever been pulled over for loud exhaust. No, I don't drive like that when I see a cop.

Interesting documentation on the 1st post. I will forward both to him to get his take. His Jeep is lifted with some rather large mudders. He's got shorty headers mocked up. I think I'll probably pass on a ride when he gets it all done.

Sent him the articles BLACK-HAWK posted. He's already seen them. Says he has everything he needs to complete the swap. Everything but the exhaust. Thanks for the posts BLACK-HAWK.

It's going to be a custom job. No way around it unless someone with the same or similar set up has their exhaust for sale on a jeep forum somewhere

He's a former auto mechanic who is more than qualified to do the job himself. He says he now has everything he needs to do the swap. I told him he bought the farm, because now it's hot. He's gonna put a wall unit air conditioner in the window of his garage & do it all in there. I guess the exhaust will not be an issue, as he knows a guy who owns a local muffler shop. According to him, they are friends.

Should be a fun build when complete. As a LandCruiser/fjcruiser/4Runners can I Usually would make a (funny to me) sarcastic joke about reliability and power of an LS1 in a jeep but it's 0530 and I'm I'm too tired.
