Any longtube on the market will hang low. only an 3/4" separates them all from ground clearance height

My set up is different then yours. My clearance will be different then yours.
OK wise guy, I asked about the springs, as they determine ride height.

Hmmmm ok. 2 Firehawks made. 1 made without Bilsteins. 1 made with Bilsteins. Bilsteins Firehawk sits lower than non Bilsteins Firehawk. So non Bilsteins hawk got different springs than bilstein hawk? According to your quote, yes because springs determine ride height. Right? Or are both Hawks the same? Just 1 with Bilsteins option and 1 without? :paranoid: :paranoid: :paranoid: :paranoid:
My bilstein optioned hawk sits lower than non bilstein option firehawk why?

Not 100% positive, but if it had the Bilstein shock option, it may have had a spring upgrade/change also.

For instance:

Bilstein suspension hawks have the progressive rate springs, made by Eibach (I think), & have an awesome stance. 1LE suspension hawks have GM progressive rate springs with Koni oca's, & leave a bit to be desired. The rear had a huge gap. Not hip on the 4x4 look.Yes DraganHawk, in factory trim, your Bilstein hawk sat lower than my 1LE hawk. That was something I never understood. How could a Bilstein suspension car ($1100 option) look better than a 1LE suspension car ($1899 option)?

Technically I think the shocks eye to eye is what determines ride height. Much like shoes, the eye to eye could very slightly between manufacturers

When I replaced the stock rear springs on my 1LE hawk with Strano sp141 springs, the drop was at least 3 inches. The Koni's didn't move.

Ofergadsakes, I wouldn't mind 1" less from factory Firehawk height. Not quite sure what should use.

Saw a C6 Vette the other day, too low - looked like crap. Still has to fit the curve of the wheelwell, otherwise it looks like a stepped on hotwheel.

I agree. slammed cars look like crap http://s158.photobucket.com/user/ws6202 ... .html?o=22 This is the result of Strano springs on the rear. not slammed.

That a pic of your car? Mine looks the same or maybe a bit lower. I'll have to look.

Yes, that is with Strano springs in rear & stock springs up front. Strano's springs dropped the front clearance to 3/8". Too low for me. Eibach progressive rate springs put it at 7/8" clearance. They will be going back on in November.

I totally agree. Hard to tell how your car sits, with everything being black. Kind of lost in the shadows. Sinister.
