Any Tips on Washing Car Cover

Post by srjoecow » Mon Mar 30, 2015 10:18 am

Pulled the 2002 Firehawk Car Cover (the one that originally came with car) out of the bag and it needs cleaning. I have read online that some covers are machine washable. Anybody tried this successfully with these covers? Any suggestions?

Any coin-op laundry facility. Large capacity, gentle setting. Just wash it & drape it on "clean" hawk to dry.

Had a buddy (since passed away) that owned an industrial fabric cleaning company, they did overalls, uniforms, specialty gloves, nomex, etc.

Used to take my boat, snowmobile covers, etc. to him. Always came back perfect.

Do not wash it at home - under the wrath of wifey.
