It's almost time to start putting this thing back together. New parts are still coming in... replacing a lot of worn out / broken parts and some that I just want to replace to make it more show-worthy under the hood.
Post-deconstruction.
Cleaning / re-tubing the wiring harness.
Pile of dirty parts.
Pile of clean parts.
Post-engine bay paint.

My hat goes off to you Scott! I see stuff like this on ls1tech and I am amazed at the people who are talented enough to do something like this. I'm sure a few guys on here can do this but I don't have the skill to do what you're doing. I wish I could pull a motor out and rebuild one, but I can't. Putting my headers on and installing my new clutch was the most I had ever done. I'm still fighting to get a cam installed. Your hawk is going to be a beautiful car when you're done, so keep the pictures going! Excellant work, I know you want it back together yesterday!

I know what you mean. I wouldn't have even thought about doing a job this big without the help that a friend of mine is giving me. Actually, it's more like I'm helping him.
I'm learning a lot as we go. It's been great so far and it's just going to get better as we start assembly.

Its just 469 miles from your town to Pontiac Nationals.
You could get there in a easy day of driving.
Be nice if you would visit and impress us with how many parts and screws were left over.

The only parts and screws that will be left over are the ones being replaced or eliminated.
Not planning on the Rally this year but maybe next year.
