The yofab polished engine dress up bolt kit is a subtle, yet effective addition to the engine bay. I have that kit on both of my birds.

Is the SLP strut brace the one to select, or has anybody used a different one?

That depends if you want to give SLP free advertising every time you open the hood. Any vendor here that deals in suspension parts will have the correct size. Search around & pick a style & color you like.

There are a couple different ones to get. I took the slp one and hand polished it and clear coated it to have the chrome look. The one I wanted years ago came chrome, but it was like $250- $300 back in 05. You can still get the style, but only in red or black. I still like the slp one, cause it's simple.

This is the one that my wife got me for Christmas 2002. She got me the polished one and then I had the brackets and bolts chromed. This was my first mod.
Love it and it looks great.

Yea man, that's still my favorite one! I almost bought it in 05 when I got the hawk, but too many other things I was working on under the hood. I still might buy it if it ever comes available again, but not red or black, and I'm not ready to hand polish anymore. Send me some pictures of your enginge bay, or are you on fquick?
