It was born with 'em all. 1LE suspension, Auburn rear, car cover, chrome wheels, rear deck mat, floor mats, portfolio & the bad a** iroc spoiler. Of course, now it's on Strano springs & the 1LE springs are on stand by as paper weights. I like the iroc spoiler soooo much, I put one on my ws6.

No, not left over. What's exclusive for a special edition any given year, is available for the masses the following year. Thank God they were available in any stock color. If I could find my 'Fiercest of the Firebirds' book, I would tell you how many cars were ordered with that spoiler in 2002. No way there were that many 'left over'.

Got tired of no response to my emails to the body shop for an update, 6 weeks today, I called them yesterday. They said the car should be done Friday, tomorrow. They don't work on weekends, so I asked them to leave the car outside the fence, locked up. I can't get to it till about 10:00 PM. Taking my Flex swirl finder light to view the clear. Hopefully it's good to go.

Got my blue bird back on Friday afternoon. A friend took me over to pick it up when he got off work at 5. Thank God for friends. Body shop stripped the top half of clear off & re cleared. The hood is covered in shallow scratches by a novice buffer. I will compound those out & give the clear 6 weeks to fully gas out before I will apply my dark charcoal ram air hood decals followed by a clay bar & wax session. Overall, it's good to have it back after 6 full weeks gone.

It's now been the recommended 6 weeks of gas out time. No cover on it so it is covered in dust. Pulling it out Tuesday to blast the dust off & tackle the shallow hood scratches with a light polish. Not expecting it to take more than a light cut compound & pad. Then I can finally put on the dark charcoal ram air hood decals. Car looks naked without them.

My 2007 computer crashed & my new one does not recognize me from this site & I got NO HELP from the mods here, so I now have a new user name. I got the hood polished to perfection last night. I used a finishing pad & polish to eliminate the scratches & holograms. 3 dust nibs need to be addressed & then I can begin the arduous task of perfectly applying the dark charcoal ram air decals.

Dark charcoal metallic. Stock white ones weren't getting it anymore. Replaced them with charcoal metallic, which looked silver. Those were ok until the body shop faux pas where they had to strip from the belt line up of clear & reshoot.

I know, but I felt like making it abundantly clear. Besides, all my posts were on different days, so I didn't realize I had mentioned it. I will post a pic here to give a visual when finished.

Got all the scratches & novice buffer trails polished out to perfection. Just have a scant few dirt nibs to eliminate. I'm in no hurry to take sandpaper to my car, although I've done it to others many times before. Also got the hood decals mounted last night. Will have to wait until the weekend to see how they look outside under the sun.
