2002 Carl Black Bird

Post by cig42x » Sat Oct 31, 2015 1:24 am

I bought a 202 Carl Black Black Bird in 2002. I understand there were only 19 produced.

My car is a black on black convertible, which I have been told is the only black on black

convertible out of the 5 that were built.

Does that mean I have one of one in the world, less than 100 miles n car and always professionally stored indoors.

Please help..

Technically yes, 1 of 1 for 2002. That doesn't mean it is worth more than the others, but still a rare car if you leave it alone.

Thank You Nick,

I feel like it should be worth a little more, considering it is the only convertible
that is black on black.

What is the car worth today,do you have any idea.

I have thought of bringing it to Barrett-Jackson auction, being a one of one in the world
maybe someone would pay BIG money for it.

And no it has never been touched, the way I got it is how it sits on jack stands in a bubble.

I know it doesn't help but it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. IF you find that one buyer that HAS to have THAT car and has deep pockets, the sky is the limit. I don't know what you paid for it but cars typically make lousy investments.

I agree, if you keep it another 20 years it may be worth more than you paid. I refuse to buy them as investment, and I refuse to not drive them. I've never understood people who buy cars and stuff them in storage for 30 years as an "investment". I actually don't think it's good for a vehicle to sit that long without being driven. Just my humble opinion anyway.
