Floor Mats..

Post by 97Hawk » Thu Mar 24, 2016 5:45 pm

Been looking online but I can't find anyone that sells Firehawk floor mats anymore, I know SLP used to not that long ago, have I waited too long in buying? It's one of the only things she's missing.....

Anyone with any ideas? Thanks.

What color are you looking for? They are out there, but pricey if you find a set.
Another option is the SLP Logo mats. They are the same thing just different logo for a lot cheaper.

SLP still has them available. No Firehawk logo. Just an SLP logo. $84.95

I have a set - they are every bit as good as the originals.

The actual 'Hawk mats are long since out of production. If you find a good set they cost quite a bit. I took mine out and put them in storage and bought the SLP ones for everyday. If I ever get my car back up to show quality I use them for that and then put them back in storage ;-)

Thanks for the responses guys.

I checked out the SLP mats previously but they only seem to have the 98-02 model years ones in black. I need the gray ones for a 1997. I'll keep looking around.

You might look again because the do have them in ebony and gray for 98-02.

On a side note, here is what an email I received today said.

Thank you for your recent performance parts order. The item(s) listed below are being made to order for you or may be on back-order.

SLP does a lot of other cars now, such as Ford Mustang parts. I called and scolded them for that. Most of the guys working there were not there in 2002 and know very little about Firehawks, unfortunately.

Maybe we can sign a petition to get them to continue making 'Hawk parts again? Finding basic parts is frustrating. When I had mine in 1999 it was easy-peasy but now it's just crazy. On eBay, $380 for beat-up Firehawk mats? Really?

You scolded them?

With the low production volume of the Firehawks, it may not be worth reproducing some parts. A petition won't help.
