Auto to Stick?

Post by FHK01 » Fri Apr 22, 2016 4:26 am

01 auto, thinking about making it M6 (t56) I would like some input and suggestions. I know I will be messing with originality but it does have 100,000 miles on clock. What are your thoughts?

I would say it depends on your drive.
If you are in constant traffic and its your DD then 😬

If it's your fun car then possibly

In the end I wouldn't do it.
You have to change a lot.
But it's your car

My opinion, leave it original. But it's your car.

I'd suggest a nice converter, Circle-D, Yank, etc., at least 3000rpm min, even better at 3600-4000rpm, ..., & a cooler, ..., maybe a tune if you haven't yet as it may be necessary depending on the car/use/etc, ..., & then drive the hell out of it.

If you want to swap it, swap it. With 6-figures on the clock, you're probably not going to attract the purist if you ever decide to sell it.

Stall converter and a shift kit is the way to go. You won't regret it
