97 Firehawk Dash

Post by 97Hawk » Mon Jun 13, 2016 2:45 pm

So long story short I've got a couple cracks in the dash of my '97 Hawk, I'm looking at ordering one of these: http://www.hawksmotorsports.com/dash-97 ... hite-used/

I'm assuming the dashes are the same for 'Hawks, firebirds and Trans Ams of that year? Whenever I call these companies about parts and tell them I have a Firehawk they get confused about the car and more often than not I don't get what I asked for.

Also has anyone replaced their dash before? I'm assuming it's a nightmare but if it's something that can be done with myself and a friend I'd rather avoid the massive labour bill that a shop would present me. Thanks!

Dashboard is not firehawk specific. I would stick to calling it a Formula or trans am when talking to parts guys because Firehawk is not in their data base. I would imagine its a P.I.T.A to replace but still cheaper then paying a shop to do it. Google search: " LT1 trans am dashboard removal " .. I'm sure it will bring up a thread or two from LS1tech.com
