10th for sale.. for $6000?

Post by mikecronis » Wed Jun 22, 2016 2:38 am

A guy up in Parker, CO said he had a 10th and wanted $6000 for it. I asked him the mileage and he then said I could have the car to try it out first and pay him after a month or so?! Pictures seemed legit. Proper spoiler, etc. Tires seemed shot. He said it was a clean title but.. I backed away.. very .. slowly. Never checked it out in-person. Seems weird and I declined. Shouldn't a 10th go for $30k or more?

Even though he said it has a clean title get the Vin number so it can be authenticated. Sounds like its either a fishy deal or the guy doesn't know what he has

These cars aren't worth $30K+ but this guy sounds shady as hell.

Ah, I see why now. He just emailed me..

Hi,

Due to the high volume of internet scams, I give you the chance to receive the car at your home address BEFORE i receive my money for it. I appreciate your interest but I want to let you know that the car is located in Portugal. I purchased the car in US and I moved to Europe, in Portugal the law is different recording the registration of a vehicle that is outside of Europe, it is expensive and difficult to register this car in Portugal, this is the reason of selling. Instead of letting it sit in the garage I've decided to sell it at low price.

I can ship the car to you, also I can be responsible for the transport cost and you'll pay after inspection. The car looks and runs fantastic! Within 19 days you will get the car and you will have a period of 2 days to inspect the car and when the inspection period ends, if everything is fine you can make the payment.

CLEAN TITLE IN HAND, NO LIENS OR ISSUES!
If you are interested let me know and I will provide you more information and more pics.

I'm looking forward to hear from you soon.

This is an old Internet scam. They will send you a car. Not necessarily the car you expect. The transport company will demand payment when the car arrives at your location. If you do not pay them they will sue you. Stay far far away from these people.

This scam has been going on for years. Even here in Canada. They send you a car then sue you for what they say the car is worth. I offered to pay full price and pick up the car and was told it was not possible. They must ship the car as the shipping company had been paid already. 100% scam.

Oh and why isn't a 10th worth $30,000.00.
Just because you don't think so?
