Kansas hawks

Post by FIRSTLAST » Sat Sep 16, 2017 6:00 pm

I attended a race/ show event in central Kansas called Pontiac Uprising put on by the Pontiac club for the region. I was a bit surprised to find 3 nice show class Firehawks in attendance, all late year. The two parties I got to meet didn't know about this board or our annual rally inside Pontiac Nationals at Norwalk. Hope I fired them up to attend. The book was also news to them.

Nice though small. Quality cars in the show, and some good racing action with a quantity of 9 second class cars in the racing action from what I could tell. A few faster cars, but Mike Welter had a fresh transmission and it needed changed again - setup issues. Mike Cooper was fast as usual. They race on a airport runway for this track.

Very cool! I'm really excited about this forum, I recently got set up. I purchased a 2002 Silver Firehawk 6M 49k miles about 8 months ago, it's my 4th Trans Am, but 1st Firehawk. Nice to meet everyone.

Congrats to you on your 1st Firehawk. This board is a wealth of knowledge for anything you may want to do. Research & do not be afraid to ask questions. Guaranteed that somebody here has already crossed the bridge you are about to. Welcome.
