Jounce bumpers

Post by Blackhawk97 » Mon Dec 11, 2017 7:40 am

Hi all!!

As I have been conducting a ground up detail on my ‘97 #111, I noticed that the jounce bumpers on both sides are cracked and the right one has a chunk missing. Anyone know if slp reproduces these due to the stock ones were replaced during the Firehawk conversion. I really don’t want to replace these with just stock ones or energy suspension ones. Would like to keep the car as it was from slp. Even if it’s these bumpers. Thanks!!
Paul

I don't believe those are SLP / Firehawk specific. Not that I've ever heard of or read any way.

I believe you are correct. They used the original bumpers, just inserted spacers.

The only reproductions ones I am aware of are from Hawks third gen. I believe that Engergy Suspension might have a replacement as well.

I'm fairly certain you can still get new GM for these. SLP added longer bolts and aluminum spacer (on hawk, WS6 and SS) to the stock part because of the 17" wheels and tires.
