Transwheel (Speedline Rims)

Post by Brian J. France » Mon Aug 21, 2000 11:11 am

As some of you know at last years rally I won the set of Firehawk SZ50 Tires. I had them put on this year by the Firestone dealer who was nice enough do destroy 3 of the four rims with the tire machine.

I had them re-finished at Transwheel in Huntington, IN and would highly recommend recommend them.

Jason got some great pics of my car (white firehawk) and one of the rim.

A few things to do when sending in your rims.

1. Take your tires off your self and have them installed yourself. They will do it, but I would not trust them to do this part. After getting my back they used the tire clamp on the inside of the barrel of one of the rims, and after seeing that I had some else put the tires on.

2. Make sure you tell them you want the barrels (inside part of the rim) painted and clear coated. This is a extra charge, but if you don't tell them they will not do it. It is well worth the extra charge.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Brian
