headers are being shipped friday. i'm going with a custom Ypipe to the stock firehawk 3" system, straight back to the muffler that the hawk came stock with and out the driver side. i'm trying to save some $$ so depending if i like how it sounds and that it's not tooo tooo loud other muffler changes may be made in the future. i dont drive it all that much but weekends do to where i work. hopefuly i'll get some sound clips

GO straight pipes or dumps then...........unless you are afraid to wake the neighbors 10 miles away

I have (2) 3" cutouts behind the Cats, and they rattle the LS out of my console, not to mention after 100 miles, your ears will be ringing.

will it still sound louder then a stock 1995 firehawk with no cat and the keeping the same 1995 Hawk exhaust system with it's free flow muffler? http://www.firehawk.org/picture/1221.html i only ask because a friend of mine says it's going to sound like crap.

I think it should sound about the same coming out of a 383. I have a fairly decent size cam so that will make a bit of a difference, but overall it should sound pretty good.
