97 Hawk Needs work

Post by tazman71 » Mon Jun 12, 2006 12:59 pm

I saw this car in Michigan a couple of weeks ago at a the salvage yard listed. Will need both rear quarter, and couple of wheels, a passenger fender and probably a frame machine to square up the back end. I am sure I saw this car at Auburn Cruse auction last fall. Someone pick this up and save 1 of the 4 hardtop Dark green cars made that year. Before I end up having to sleep in the garage for buying another car.

Wow, I think this is the car my buddy and I picked up . The yard it was at was Eagle Auto Parts. I found the car in the local auto trader magazine an s it was listed at having rear damage only. It was quite a bummer to find out the front was severly damaged as well. The main reason we got it was the low mileage and the fact it was a 6speed car. Currently its in the garage, half torn apart. The frame has been pulled frt and rear, the replacement quarter is on, and finishing bodywork now. Mechanically it needed a right rear axle shaft, trackbar, both rear control arms, steering rack, right frt control arm ,frt sway bar and the brakes with replaced all around. I've got alot of pics of the work thats been done to the car. I hope to post those once I get a chance.
Thanks,
Chazz O.

EDIT: I just looked in the totalled section and yes that is my car!
