New to the board and looking to be an owner.
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself, longtime Pontiac fan, currently have 4 GTO's 68-72, and a 73 Formula 400. Looking to add a Firehawk to the stable and this was the place to come.
I'm looking for a 91/92 model preferably one with a competition package. Missed out on the #2 car on e-Bay a year or so ago, but don't want to miss the next one. Any leads would be appreciated.
I'm a regular poster on the Performance Years site, so if you frequent that one, say hello - that's were the lead to this site came from.
Thank again, and I hope to be an owner soon!
Chris

a 91 or 92 Firehawk? Lots of luck!
You would have an easier time finding: a GTO Judge convertible, a 73 or 74 455 SD, or a '69 Trans Am! With only about 25 3d generation 'Hawks made, they are one of the most rare Pontiacs ever made!

Welcome, Chris...and I have to agree with Max on this one...Maxedwell wrote:a 91 or 92 Firehawk? Lots of luck!

Maybe this would be an opportunity to do a good clone...I'm sure someone could get you pics of the roll cage (maybe even plans if you ask nicely) and you could do an LS6/MN6 conversion...
Not that I've thought that out or anything...

Thanks guys, but a clone is not in the cards - I'm too persistant an SOB. I've been lucky enough to speak with a couple of owners today as well as a past owner of two of the cars - I'm hopeful that I'm headed in the right direction.MCKNBRD wrote:Welcome, Chris...and I have to agree with Max on this one...Maxedwell wrote:a 91 or 92 Firehawk? I am finding that buying one of these cars is akin to joining a country club - you have to get friendly with a few of the members first then pay a heafty innitiation fee, but then you get to play all you want.
As quoted by Boss:

Boss,
This is true. We even have a secret hand shake and must wear "special " underwear when driving the car.
Hope you can find one to add to your collection.

Thanks Mark, I sent you an e-mail before I saw this post. I'm currently building a barn for the cars, and if I haven't picked one up by the time I'm done I'll have everybody over for a little meet-n-greet.....have a few beers and throw some filets on the grill
Maybe then I get get one of you who have multiples to let one go.
Thanks Dave, I've had an e-bay search set up for them for over a year and would have hit the BIN on #002 if I hadn't just bought another car. I didn't go for #26 simply because of the color and the lack of the comp package, although I've been in contact with the new owner and he says it's brutally fast.Dave Hamburger wrote:There are none available right now that I know of - the last one that was for sale (#26), was just snagged by a forum member that owns #6 I believe.
Believe me, the moment one becomes available it is news on the forum - just keep checking in and running a google search.

Its nice to finally hear something positive about car #26, I thought long and hard about that one too.........maybe someday.
Gotta ask you Boss, made anyone a serious offer yet, and how far have you gotten? And no, mine will not be for sale anytime soon, I'm looking for one to drive a little more. Check it out on fquick: http://www.fquick.com/JoeFirehawk11
Good luck, hope you find "the one"!
