Nice to know that in 97 a second set could be gotten that was the same. Not the case in '02.

According to SLP's site and lmperformance, the ebony mats are all that they have...and they are listed for 2000-2002 models. I never knew there was a difference in the embroidering. I always figured the ebony was a 2000+ color.

Nice lookin' car, ..., 8)

1) See Grant for the headrest embroidery.
Email to **bmrfirehawk@verizon.net**edit PONTIACFIREHAWK2002131@YAHOO.COM
Or you can find him listing them on Ebay now also.
Simply search 'Firehawk headrest embroidery'.
They'll cost ya $75-125 depending on the design layout.

2) SFC's aren't going to affect the value enough to be concerned about it.

3) Fuel Rail Covers are aftermarket custom items. They usually cost between $250-275+ depending on the layout. PM to me if you are serioiusly interested at that cost because I do make them.

4) Firehawk floormats can sometimes be found on Ebay. Or simply use the factory GM units for everyday & just use the Firehawk mats for showtime.

8)
Correction, my email address is pontiacfirehawk2002131@yahoo.com for embroidery!

ITs been a few years, any updates on your car, perhaps you ended up having the headrest done?

I haven't done much to the car except drive it. I did install Strano springs and koni 4/4 dampeners. I have been collecting parts for a H/C/I swap. Everything I am doing I will be able to take off later if needed. It's not a super low mile car so I don't expect to get some high dollar for it someday.

The car has 48,000 miles on it now. It was may daily driver for two years so I racked up some miles. I got picked up a beater S10 Blazer last year so I don't drive the Firehawk all the time which I like, I hated putting that many miles on it.

The paint is coming apart under the nostril on the hood and it has a few dings in it. I started working for a restoration shop so I will probably repaint it this summer.

It is starting to show the classic 4th gen door/window problems. The drivers window is all jacked up and is rattling. I am going to get that fixed it's driving me nuts.

The car has been good to me. I drive the crap out of it and it takes it.

I never got the headrest done. Is that guy still doing them? I still would like to do it. Since the car is going to be down at the end of this month for the H/C/I swap I might do it then.

Thank all of you for the interest in my car.

If you post a pic of them side by side, I should be able to tell you which were original (coyuld only be bought with the original order placed for the car) and which were non-originals.

In 2002 I ordered 2 sets of Firehawk mats with my car! There were no restrictions that you could only get one set.

I've got the original set of Hawk mats, and another set I bought from SLP afterward.

They are both identical. Seems like one of those urban myths to me. Do you really think SLP would go to the trouble to stock two different types of mats?

I wish SLP would make the dark grey 1999-model mats available again. The 2000-on color is wrong for my interior. I'd also like to order another rear deck mat, as mine has badly faded from the sun.
