2002 Pontiac Firebird Formula/Firehawk #1405 of #1502, Black in/out, leather interior, Pontiac Monsoon radio, 12 Disk CD changer, Power Seat/Windows/Door/Trunk/Hatch, T-tops, Firehawk Oval tires and many more options. SLP options : 345 HP base, SLP Firehawk Chrome Wheels, SLP Firehawk logo front floor mats, SLP Firehawk custom rear deck mat, SLP Firehawk commemorative portfolio, SLP custom fitted car cover. , SLP Firehawk key fob, SLP Certificate of Birth Framed , and SLP marketing brochure. Well taken care of. I am the second onwer. The car has never been smoked in and the cigarette lighter has never been engaged. I bought the car when it had 1,500 miles on it. The oil has been changed every 3,000 miles and has always been filled with Mobil1 Synthetic. The first set of tires was replaced at 47,000 miles. Dealer could not believe they lasted that long.I did have to replace the clutch in it because it was in storage for over a year and from what I was told from the dealer, it looked like it was 1/2 engaged in gear. When I took it out of storage it would sometimes pop out of gear and the dealer wanted to only replace 1/2 of it. I opt'ed to have them replace the clutch, pressure plate, etc.. About 85% of the miles are highway miles. I drive about 47 miles one way to work and was my commute vehicle for a while.Currently there are only 2 flaws with it. The passenger door panel has cracked and I guess this is typical of these cars.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. A word of caution............having lived in Muscatine and Sioux City (first child born in Davenport), I can say that these cars are not good in snow and ice. If you are a daily driver, commuting 47 miles one way to work, I would think of this buy as more of a spring/summer drive. Having said that, I live in CO and I DO drive my Hawk very carefully and very rarely in snow and ice. I also have a Yukon XL Denali at my disposal, though. I don't want to discourage you, but warn you. I have managed a cool 360 in the Yukon a couple of times, though

too much money with those miles. these cars ....as well as other car "TOYS" are real soft. id be around 11-12,500 if you really like it. if he trades it in to a dealer he might get 8k.
he might not say yes to your offer but you probaly will get a call back from him when no one else buys it. dont be shocked
i think someone on here was selling a 2001 number #1 firehawk for around 15k with less miles. tha twould be a better investment car.
good luck

Seems decent deal. The chrome wheels add to the value, and the floor mats and deck mats are from original order, the rest is mostly stock for Hawks.

sounds like nothing a little elbow greese wouldnt fix. simple detail job?
as far as paperwork you can order the window sticker from PHS and you can order the slp window sticker and birth certificate from slp. now you have all the paperwork you need for about $150.
antifreze smell could be no big deal? hose maybe a waterpump, radiator? thats something you would want to look into.
some times you can steal cars like these. trust me when you buy a car from a dealer they do the same thing. they detail the hell out of the car. they respray the bumber covers. they call the dent wizard to pull the dents and they have a glass company fill any inperfections in the windshield. by the time they are done with the car it looks beautiful. but your paying for it.
dirt can always be cleaned. the real impotant things to look at is paint work and any prior body damage. regular maintainces stuff is not a big deal.
there were a couple of firehawks for sale near me. they keep reposting them on craigslist. one seems to be a very nice car. its a 2001 firehawk with about 20k on it. red, 6spd. initially he wanted 21k for it. the last post he was down to 13k. if i see it again i will send it to you.
if you have any interest. i have a real clean 1998 FORMULA WS6 not a TA. (black, 6spd, ttops) They made around 200 total cars. it has 18k on it and the original tires are still on it. its so clean that all the yellow marker, marks are still on the suspension. clean clean clean.
in any event i wish you the best of luck. let us know what you land up getting.

The real troubleis the odd's are that Iwould have to replace the motor within the next year due to lack of maintance, I have had experience with these engines and 60,000 and not flushing the cooling system and smelling hot and burned antifreeze I am better off to keep looking and spend more money on a car that has been maintained.
