firehawk gathering in green country????

It has recently come to attention that there are a lot of hawk owners out there that are not able to make the ralley each year, and most arent even able to make it to hawk fest when they have that. ive been speaking with several owners in the tulsa area, and a lot of us are trying to plan a get together in june. do not have an exat date yet, but am trying to put a lil something together so that hawk owners can get together with one another.

how many people would be interested in attending a gathering in Tulsa, OK in early june? if this is something that must go through the FAOA i would be more than happy to become a member, just need pointed in the right direction. right now was picturing something like a lunch, a cruise, and possibly a gathering at tulsa raceway park where owners can show off their hawks, or even make a few passes down the quarter. also if you are interested im trying to get an idea of how many children will be there, and try to plan so that there is something for them to do as well. any input would be greatly appreciated! so how bout it? anyone?

well so far will have 92 hawk #26 and possibly also #6 that was featured in high performance pontiac, also LT4Firehawks 97 LT4 car, a very sleek, and low milage 93, a 94, my 95, a 2002, and i think a 2001 as well. we are only short a few years from having one for every production year. also there is a car show in my home town that same day, which could be a lot of fun and a great place to show off the cars. everyone is welcome to come if they like.

Evan, if you know of some more hawk owners in the tulsa area, or any that would want to make the drive in, let them know and have them get in touch with me so we can include them.

ok, this is what we can do if people are interested. saturday june 7th there is a car show in bartlesville at johnstone park. very nice park, well shaded! we can ralley in tulsa, cruise up to bartlesville making it in by noon, register, set up the cars together, then after the show can make our way back down to tulsa. tulsa raceway park opens later in the evening (11pm) put runs until 3am, for those that are interested in that. we can have dinner in tulsa at possibly a fudruckers or steak-n-shake (which is sure to draw yet another crowd of enthusiasts, then off to tulsa raceway park. also for those that are familiar with the tulsa night life, cruising memorial drive is a huge thing on weekend nights, especially saturdays. there are plenty of parking lots there where we could gather up, or we can get out on the street and pick on some import owners. everyones opinion is welcome, so please let me know what interests you have, also am trying to make this so that those who may bring kids can have a good time as well, so please give me your opinions as im all ears.

also, tulsa raceway park is 20 for car with driver, and 10 per spectator. drivers are required long pants, socks and shoes, and also a helmet. i will have a helmet for those who need one.

so far the turnout is looking to be pretty good. still trying to get the word out and reach people who may not post on this message board.
