Firehawk Rally (Norwalk) Convoys - newsletter post

Post by Maplehawk » Mon May 20, 2002 8:34 pm

I want to help bring a few of the travelling hawks together by posting info on those planning on driving in to Norwalk.

Matt will be leading the way in from Iowa via Chicago and Toledo. I am guessing 20 Hawks this year.

What about the eastern folks? Mark S. is coming from Pittsburgh area. Mike from Ithica.

I know Chuck Stong will be inbound from Texas.

Malcolm Glover is heading up from N.C.

Glen Thompson said he's coming down again from Kingston, Ontario via northern NY I think. Got to be some Toronto folks heading down.

Let me know and I will pass the word. Maybe we can get a map up with dots for those attending. So far about 40+ are comfirmed. I think 80 Hawks is very possible.

Mac I will be heading west from the Reading/Harrisburg area on Friday around noon. Anyone heading to Norwalk or SLP day in Columbus the end of June from the area, I will be leaving the same time for that, either post it here or email me.

Is anyone from the Tri-State area (Delaware, Penna, Maryland) heading to Norwalk? My husband and I are traveling from Wilmington, Delaware. Wouldn't mind getting together with other Hawk owners, since my husband is directionally challenged and having a fair amount of horsepower just translates into: We get lost that much faster  .

FireHawk2000, I am from Bear, Delaware and I am going to be leaving on Friday if you want to meet up or something that would be cool. This will be our first time attending so I probably won't be any help on directions but we can get lost together heh. :D

NICK02HAWK#100 AND FIREHAWK2000,

AS MAC SAID I WILL BE HEADING OUT OF THE READING AREA AROUND MID DAY ON FRIDAY AND RUNNING THE PA. PIKE SO I CAN GET THERE BY AROUND 6.
HOPEFULLY WE WON'T HIT ANY RAIN AGAIN.
FRIDAY NIGHT IS A GOOD NIGHT FOR WASHING THE CAR AND TAILGATING IN THE PARKING LOT.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK AND WE CAN PROBABLY WORK SOMETHING OUT.
I AM STAYING AT THE HOLIDAY INN.

Hello Marc & Nick

Hey Marc, sounds like you have made the trip before, so, can Nick and I follow you :?: I was hoping to get on the road early Friday, so maybe we can coordinate something. I am also staying at the Holiday Inn. Can I ask what version of "Tailgating" goes on in the p-lot? The "what you do before an NFL game" version or the "you have to try this amazing cabernet with those wonderful toast points" version?

Nick, I live in Wilmington, not too far from you, so we shouldn't have any problem getting together to figure out how to meet up with Marc. Here is my work email address: kjannuzzio@wilmingtontrust.com. Both you guys shoot me a line or two so we can get our convoy going. :D

Firehawk2000,

It is 6pm Wednesday and I am heading out of here for Jamaica. I will be back on the 21st.

I don't really have time to write, but I will drop you guys a line or shoot me one at marcschank1@cs.com.

I am also going to SLP day in Columbus and am leaving on Friday June 28 if anyone is interrested.

I'll drink a red stripe for you all. 8)

I WILL be attending again this year from sunny and warm California, but this year the Firehawk is staying home. 5,000 miles and one week is a bit much two years in a row!
I will be driving from the Quad Cities area (Moline, IL) on Friday morning and would like to hook up with a few of you. This year I will be in a Grand Am though. BUT, it is a V6!!!!
Hope to see alot of you again this year,
Bob D

My wife Debbie and I will be driving our Firehawk to Norwalk Friday a.m. We live in Mooresville, NC, so it will take about 8 or 9 hours. We'll be heading up I-77. Anyone coming our way?

How about Jerry & Melody from Florida?

This is our first rally, since we bought our FH last August. We'll be staying at the Holiday Inn.
