3rd Annual Firehawk & F-body BBQ in Waupun, WI July 11th

Post by 02hawk796 » Thu Feb 26, 2004 6:11 pm

Firehawks of Wisconsin and Tony's Pizza are again sponsoring our free BBQ on Sunday, July 11th, at Tony's Pizza in Waupun, WI.
There is no charge; grill foods & drinks are provided free. Some attendees in the past have brought a dish to pass, making a nice variety, but none is required.
All F-bodies are welcome, and we particularly encourage Firehawks to attend.
Tony is the owner of 1999 #013.
We are planning another Cruise following the gathering.
The free BBQ is from 10am-3pm, the Cruise duration TBD.

Ron Schaefer,
Firehawks of Wisconsin

As stated, there is no charge or fee. If you insist, you may bring a dish to pass, but none are required or expected.

My cell # for this day is 608-577-8083.
Tony's Pizza is located at 420 Fond Du Lac St in Waupun. This is Hwy 26 and Business 151, but the current construction bypass does not include this segment. Tony's phone is 262-324-9162.

Directions.
Waupun is 16 miles west of Hwy 41 (Exit #87) on Hwy 49. It is where Highways 49, 151, and 26 meet.
If coming north on Hwy 26, get on Hwy 151 north/east. The next off ramp is Exit #146 to Hwy 49, take this exit and turn Left on Hwy 49.
If coming south/west on Hwy 151, also take Exit #146 and turn Right onto Hwy 49.
Take Hwy 49 north/west. This is Main St in Waupun.
Turn right at the first opportunity. This is Gateway Drive, at the traffic light just before McDonald's.
After 0.1 mile on Gateway, stay to the right as you approach the Culver's sign. Proceed another 0.7 mile on Gateway, ending at the Stop sign.
Turn Left onto Fond Du Lac St. Enter 2nd or 3rd driveway on your right. This is Tony's.

To wrap up, Tony might again lead a mini-cruise before he has to return to his business. There is also another mini-cruise planned to follow, less than an hour - a leisurely cruise around the countryside.

Hope to see some of you from the area there.

Not BBQ related Ron, but are you going to the rally, and if so are you going to join the convoy again? Do you know anyone else from Wi going who wants to join?

Hey Matt, I have not yet heard of anybody stating that they would be attending this year. I will not be.
The Rally has been on our list of events since last year.
I would not be surprised if Gerry attends again. Rudy has sold his car. I know others would like to attend eventually, but I don't know if this year is their time.
You are always more than welcome to post info or query on the Firehawks of Wisconsin Forum at www.brewcitymuscle.com if you would like.
If I find out more, I'll let you know. I can also act as liason for the Hawk owners who do not have e-mail or net access (over half of ours). For some reason, most of the BBQ attendees are not net active - I think I'm the only Hawk owner in the last 2 years there who was.

Thanks to all who brought the great food, I was not able to sample everything there. I'm told nobody left hungry, which is great.
Thanks very much to Tony for hosting!

I've been told everybody enjoyed the liesurely Cruising afterwards.

Glad everybody had a good time.

Sorry for the delay, I encountered some "camera issues" to fix.
