FirehawkFest 2004

Post by Rob(94Hawk#319) » Fri Mar 19, 2004 3:55 pm

I would like to get a count of how many possible attendants there MIGHT be if there was to be a FirehawkFest based in San Diego this year, say around middle Sept?

TIA,

I'd be up for it. Never been to San Diego, this would give me a good reason to go.

Went to the 'last' one in Sacramento last Sept. so a little farther wouldn't hurt :D

I would definitely go. Much closer than Sacramento for me. I went to FF4 and really enjoyed it.
Hope you succeed.
Thanks

Hello Rob,

I think that the gathering that you are proposing is a good idea. It's a location that has not been used before and may allow some new Firehawk owners to attend. The proposed time frame also avaoids a direct conflict with our Norwalk Rally.

I would be pleased to assist in notifying owners. The 'go to press' date for our next newsletter is July 1st. I can also look through the datebase for owners in the Western USA that may be interested in attending.

Judging by Wayne's comment, he will not be supporting any kind of Firehawk Fest in the West. Will you be able to go it alone, using your own name and resources? I'm still interested...although too far away to lend you much help.

Rob & I talked and I explained to him about only be able to support one event this year due to the losing of our main sponsors. Rob was kind enough to do it on his own this year. With this in mind Rob has our backing for this event. We just wish we could help money wise. But, we will do what we can in other ways. I think Rob will do an outstanding job. I have heard nothing but good things about Rob from some very loyal Firehawk people. I did have a chance to meet Rob also a few years ago at a Firehawk Fest. Please give Rob the support that he needs to get this event off the ground.

Thanks Mac, I'm doing my research and whatnot, and have to get some more info to Wayne, and I'll CC all the info to you too.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Wayne, I will try not to let the Firehawk community down if at all possible.

Johnny, we'll push your car there if need be!

LOL, Hopefully we won't have to do that. It would be kind of emabarassing to have to make car noises while you're helping push the car in and out....

Rob, If you are interested I can email everyone on my FirehawkFest list, and with their permission I will give you their email addresses so you can maybe gain a few attendees that way. Let me know. I'd like to help out if I can.
