I got a nice email from Tom Smith, the event coordinator, inviting the FAOA to the 2nd Annual All Firebird Lawn Show in Saratoga Springs, NY on Saturday, July 10th, 2004

Saratoga is a beautiful town. Try to make the time to cruise over and spend a day with fellow Firebird enthusiasts and at the same time help raise some money for the Special Olympics.

The 2nd Annual All Firebird Lawn Show & Cruise-In will be held at the Saratoga Automobile Museum on July 10 in the SPA State Park from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. At 2:00 p.m. we will be lead by an SSPD F-Body police escort and cruise to PJÂ’s BBQ. Our PJÂ’s time slot is from 2-4 p.m. Rain date is July 11 same time and place.

Show Cars, Street Cars, Race Cars, Survivors, Classics, Cruisers, Drivers: All are welcome!

FREE TO ALL ENTRANTS AND SPECTATORS,

The featured car will be Eddie B's 1986 Recarro Trans Am 'Tunnelvision'. The car took more than $80k & 1 year to build and is truly incredible in 24 carat gold, chrome, stainless & billet. JJ Watson will bring his “86 Firebird 408 cubic inch engine with fuel enrichment system. The race car runs ¼ mile in 11.44 seconds at 119.97 mph. NO NOS, all motor. Expecting 10.6 this year all motor, converter change and a new vacuum pump coming+11" slicks” See PIX (above) from last year.

So, for all of us keeping the Firebird alive, letÂ’s get together, have fun, make new friends, talk Firebird, show what you brought and benefit a good cause in a beautiful park setting!

5. We added a JUMBO trophy for BEST OF SHOW! The winner of this award will be selected by PARTICIPANT judging! This is in addition to the trophies for AthleteÂ’s choice, CoachÂ’s choice, DealerÂ’s choice, Long Distance award, and Best in Class for each 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen, and 4th Gen Firebird.

6. We can now accommodate up to 300 Firebird participants and unlimited spectator parking thanks to the Saratoga Automobile Museum and NYS Parks Commission.

7. Area hotels & motels are filling up fast. If you plan to stay Friday or Saturday night, donÂ’t delay. Please reply by e-mail for area hotel/motel list.

8. FREE Dash plaques in your goodie bag (complements of Mangino Pontiac, Ballston Spa NY ) to the 1st 100 Firebird arrivals.

9. Bring your appetite! Ball Park Franks off the grill for $2.00, Regular & Diet Coke & Pepsi, Mountain Dew and Aquafina bottled water all available for $1.00.

10. Special Olympics Saratoga athletes will select their Favorite Fifty Firebirds. The Favorite Fifty will each receive a Special Olympics Participant ribbon.

11. Music & announcements: Special Olympics Athlete DJ Nolan will spin records and make announcements.

12. Group (reduced) price admissions into the Museum will be available for show participants and their passengers.

13. Dress your car to the NINES! We have been invited to submit pictures & story to High Performance Pontiac for publication! You may find your car in HPP. Our 3rd Annual All Firebird Lawn Show & Cruise-In will be an HPP covered event!
