Paging Maplehawk re: Western Canada Firehawk Meet

Post by Black Robe » Mon Nov 15, 2004 1:25 pm

We have at least a dozen FAOA registered Firehawks in BC and Alberta and others in Washington/Oregon/Montana. Do you think a meet of some sort could be successful if held next summer/fall in Vancouver or Calgary? I can guarantee four from the Fraser Valley alone. Your thoughts?

Last August at the 10th Annual Firehawk Rally in Norwalk, Mac did mention that there might be an event to be held up in his neck of the woods sometime in the near future! :D Heck, I've driven the Firehawk 5,000 miles for Norwalk, I could do no less for Mac.

It would be great to see you guys again, and without putting 5000 miles on our 'Hawk too! We'll wait for Mac to chime in here, but I hope we can get something perking for the North West Bunch soon.
How's business Bob? Hope all is well.

Larry, Business is good and getting better almost daily. We're showing a strong 30-35% increase over a year ago and things are looking beter all the time. We formed an advertising co-op and we should be on TV and radio shortly and that will really help.
Hope all is OK with you and Barb. Hopefully we can get together this summer sometime. It'd be nice to see both of you again - Bob

I'd definitely be in for a trip to Calgary. I have relatives in northern Alberta as well so would give me an opportunity to visit them as well. Look forward to hearing more about this and hopefully it flies.

And our Firehawks could be parked together for the first time in over 3 years! Lets make this happen! 8)

Hi Guys,

Yes I am looking at the second weekend in July. I am planning on a Friday BBQ, Saturday show, Sunday cruise event It coincides with the start of the Calgary Stampede so there is lots and lots of other things to do around town at that time of year.

Sorry I have not been on line at all. Work is busiest this time of year and I am off to Argentina in a couple of days.

I'll mark it on my new calendar, but do I use pen or pencil? :?:

Add one more B.C. Firehawk to the list. We have booked a week of holidays to coincide with this event, and are really looking forward to it. Hope it goes ahead!

Arrgghhh! I just got my Road Race schedule for the year...the second weekend in July (9/10) is a points race for me here in Vancouver! Then I checked the Edmonton Champcar race that I may be involved in, and its going ahead on the next weekend, July 16/17! The FIRST weekend in July is the combined Canada Day (Friday) and Independence Day (Monday) weekend and would give everyone a chance to get to/from Calgary, plus we'd get to go too! Waddaya think Mac? :?

I plan on being there regardless of the date. It shoule be one of the longest drives I have taken in my Hawk, and that is saying alot.
