Did the photographer who was taking pictures ever publish them in a magazine like he said he was? I would love to read the article and see the pics.

I haven't heard a thing since we left Canada about those. I don't even remember which publication it was supposed to be in.

I believe I have his email address at home. I emailed him shortly after the event and never heard anything back from him. I'll try sending him another email and see if I get a response.

Here's the reply I got from him:
No I haven't forgotten about all you super Firehawk owners.
As a matter of fact I just wrote up an article for a 68 Firebird 400 convertible which will be in the February issue of Canadian Classics and performance magazine. My last paragraph was about staying tuned in for a Firehawk article in 2006.
So I have to get in touch with the Firehawk man here in Calgary.

I talked to Mac via phone 2-3 weeks ago, but haven't seen him on here in a while. I know he was covering his boss' job as well as his at the time! 8O

That's a pretty good one!

In actual fact I had a 10 minute heads-up that I was needed in City Council Chambers to deliver a 3 year, $1.8 Billion budget for 3,300 employees. Took 3 days. My Boss came down with double pnuemonia. He was back at work today :D

I love Firehawks and the folks that own them but the last year has pushed me hard. On the plus side (ok, sorry to brag but I was excited), I was named one of the top 20 compelling Calgarians to watch for 2006. Mommy was so proud.

I have had an email from the photographer in the past month and will be co-writing the article with him.

Started the loooong overdue Hawk Talks tonight as well. Sorry guys, I just needed to focus on other stuff and then get a rest.

Hey, congrats on the "top 20" honour Mac. I'm sure that's no small feat in a city that is "booming" like Calgary! 8) Hey, now I know someone important! :D

Congrats Mac! What an honor! Keep up the good work, and be sure to get some rest. I'll think of you as I drive my Hawk this weekend in lovely 75F weather. ;)

Better late than never...ME I mean! Belated congrats on the honour! You need something in return for all of your hard work!

BTW, did you work with Dave Blaby on ISO 9001 stuff recently? He mentioned the City of Calgary when he signed on to help us.

Hope that article is still coming, along with the CDs he spoke about and I
hope you can make it to our SLP Weekend next year here in Vancouver.
