I got this email over the holidays and just got time to post it:
August 12, 2006: The Indianapolis Motor Speedway will open its gates for an ALL PONTIAC SHOW sponsored by the Indy GTO Association. Open to 1978 and earlier Pontiacs, all years GTO, Firebird and Fieros. Pre-registration is $25.00 including an event T-shirt and $25.00 with no T-shirt the day of the event. Dash plaques for the first 200 entries. DonÂ’t miss your chance to drive YOUR PONTIAC around the worldÂ’s most famous racing oval. Photos with your car on the track will be available. For more info contact http://clubs.hemmings.com/indygto or call 317-770-6409.

How can this be open to Fieros, as they were 84-88 productions? I had a problem with the link, so I couldn't view it. but if it's true, I'll tell my Fiero club members here in Ohio, as they may want to go too. :?:

Open to 1978 and earlier Pontiacs, all years GTO, Firebird and Fieros.

The way I read it, it is open to ALL Pontiacs pre-1979 and open to ALL GTO's, Firebirds and Fieros.

It is open to all Firebirds of all years. We went a few years ago and it was a good Pontiac show. The trip around the track is pretty cool but very controlled. They stopped having the event there for a couple years after someone did a big burnout on the track--they didn't like that very much. You can buy a nice 8 X 10 pic of you on the track if you want--nice little memento.
