Firehawkfest 8 - Texas?

Post by Maplehawk » Fri Dec 29, 2006 6:43 pm

Chuck,

Have you given the Fest any more thought?
Any other Texas members here that are willing to assist?
It takes two or three people to do it well (or one Wayne  )

Texas is the state with the most Firehawks. I am willing to blanket email all the owners I can track down to stir up interest. you should be able to get 20 to 30 cars easily. Maybe more if it was linked to a larger event.

Just my 2 cents. I get stir crazy up here in the winter and start thinking about next summer's road trips.

A Firehawk Fest I could actually attend... nice! I would actually be okay with either spring or fall. Summer road trips are a bit harsh in AZ. What is the weather like in Dallas during those times?

I would prefer fall (finincial reason). Any way, I will most likely make it. I would love to see some other HAWKS!!!

I'd love to attend either in the summer or fall. Texas isn't as far away from the Gulf Coast as some of the other hangouts, so I'd be able to manage that drive easily!

I know it's not in Texas exactly, but what about coordinating something with the national Pontiac-Oakland/POCI show in Tulsa, July 10-14, 2007?

I have been away from the computer a while. Lots of things going on in my life. No time at home, blocked at work (until recently, who for how long)

A dallas fest will have to wait until next year. Good thing is my wife can organize the whole deal.

Who says he got married in a tux? I can see him dressed casually and barefoot on the beach maybe, but not in a tux. But then the groom has no say whatsoever when it comes to that....

Actually Bob, you are closer than you think. The ceremony was all mine, the reception was hers. We did things very different from the norm mainly because of my beliefs. We basically eloped and had a private ceremony. Then we had our honeymoon, then had a reception. Honeymoon was several weeks after the reception. The reception was the only part that was traditional.
