Nice car. Your price of "less than $26K" is probably keeping some serious buyers from responding. It's now late fall and car season demand is already waning. Time to get cooking unless you want to try again in spring. I recall a pair of super-mint, black 2002 Firehawks with around 5K-10K miles and all the cool options (Bilstein, wing, etc.) selling for around $23K to $24K in August/September. I think both of the guys started out by asking $26K to $28K. Short of a car never driven, those would be about top of the line for a FH TTop. A near 30K mile FH not as well optioned would be hard to get past $18K-$20K right now. Might help if you listed the options in the first post....anything to make it easier for someone to get interested is in your favor.

Firebrian...thanks for your post and I guess I'm guilty as charged...
didn't mean to scare anyone off...

NOT a highly optioned car, just a plain jane if there is such...
the mileage show is shortly after purchase and won't average
any more than previous as we trailer to all but the local shows and
the monthly release from the 'nest'...

MY biggest issue with the car is the sail panel, has some minor bubbles as
do most that haven't been repaired, have a prepped sail panel down in shop
as I had the 98SS replaced a few weeks ago, wanted the shop to 'practice'
on it before the Hawk, they said it was such a PIA they won't touch the Hawk
now.......fantastic job on the 98SS btw..... :D

I see on here $1000+ hoods and wheels, $300 covers, etc, etc...
have the cover but prefer to use the one in pics, key fobs, documentation...
maybe I should just part it out... some parts are hard to come by if at all...

the $26k is just to protect me d/t above and that's the only real expense, about
$500/ yr...so I guess that's why I'm in no real hurry, prices shouldn't go down...

it's just a nice clean original Hawk, but $18K won't get it....
so thanks again, I do appreciate your post...
I'll just keep bumping it up here occasionally so...

I don't blame you. But good deals pop up from time to time.....even under $18K-$20K.

For those that missed it, an ultra low 2,800 mile 2002 Firehawk popped up for sale over last weekend for $17,500 in the autotrader.com. Car was 1 owner, black, 6 speed. Normal options. I called on it Monday and it already had a deposit down on it. There were 61 photos on the Ira Subaru website (Danvers, MA) to show it was the real deal. It was not listed as a Firehawk in the Autotrader though the sellers seemed to know what it was. Certainly, the best deal in a Firehawk I've seen all year. Since the car no longer shows up on the internet for sale I'm assuming it's long gone. The new owner must be very happy as similar cars have been fetching $20K and more. Even a WS6 in this condition has no problem getting around $18K or possibly more.

Hawk811,

Just noticed the NBM SS Camaro parked next to the Firehawk. What's the story with that one? Interesting to see the mixing of brands here.

Sell the SS, keep the hawk. That's a no brainer.
